NEW IN THE WOOD SHED

Short stock is officially in!

We’re talking 24” S2S hardwoods — in all your favorite flavors, plus a few new ones to try out!

⸻

What’s in the stack

* Domestics: Ash, Cherry, Walnut, White Oak and more
* Exotics: Bloodwood, Purpleheart, Zebrawood, Wenge, Padauk, and many more

⸻

Why 24” stock?

* Ideal for cutting boards, charcuterie, boxes, turning blanks, and accents
* S2S (surfaced two sides) means less prep and faster builds
* A great way to try exotics without committing to a full 8’ stick

⸻

Heads up

Some of these species are a limited run and once they’re picked over, that’s it.

⸻

Come dig through the new short stock at The Wood Shed @ NSC.

You’ll leave with more than you planned.

People don’t just come to The Wood Shed @ NSC to buy lumber.

They come to walk the racks.
Compare species.
Study grain patterns.
Find the board that fits the project correctly.

That’s why woodworkers, builders, and designers continue making the drive here from across the region and beyond.

And if the right slab won’t fit in the truck, we’ll ship it.

What makes a piece last isn’t always visible.

It’s in the way the material was selected, how it was prepared, and how the build accounts for movement over time.

Most of that happens long before the finish goes on.

That’s the work we focus on making sure every step is handled the right way, from the start.

It’s why clients trust us with custom builds.
And why they’ve come back for years.

A lumber yard is only part of the equation.

Knowing where the wood came from, how it was milled, and how it should be used — that's what changes the outcome.

Some boards look good on the rack.
Fewer hold up over time.

At The Wood Shed @ NSC, you're not guessing. You're choosing with the right information behind it.
