This piece was hiding a showstopper beneath all those layers! I picked it up from a marketplace sale, and the paint peeled away with the lightest scratch of a fingernail, so it needed some serious prep work before we could bring it back to life. After tackling some stubborn red bleed-through, it transformed into a stunning gold and teal delight.
From peeling, multilayered paint to a bold, elegant statement piece finished in rich teal and gold leaf, this desk is proof that sometimes the most beautiful transformations start with the most challenging projects.
A little patience, a lot of prep, and a vision can make all the difference. I know It may not be to everyone’s taste as neutral colors tend to move quickly… so I get to enjoy seeing this until it finds the right home. ❤️
