Better Homes Furniture Co. was started nearly 70 years ago in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Now in the fourth generation of family ownership, Better Homes Furniture Co. is an old fashioned furniture store emphasizing GREAT service and a WIDE selection of products. Whether you are in Avery County, Watauga County, Ashe County, or right here in Wilkes County, we invite you to come visit our 12,000 sf showroom and see for yourself why Better Homes Furniture is truly "Better". We promise that there will never be any pressure to buy. In fact, you can take as long as you want to try out our La-Z-Boy recliners and Serta mattresses. In fact, we ENCOURAGE IT! Because buying a good recliner (or a Serta mattress for that matter) is a lot like buying a comfortable pair of shoes....it takes time to find just the right fit. At Better Homes Furniture Co., you can take all the time you need to find the right "fit". We even encourage you to go home and come back a day later to see if the chair or mattress that you thought you liked still feels as good the second visit. And because all of our salesmen and delivery guys are family members who do NOT work on commission, you will NEVER feel any pressure to hurry up and buy. We have been doing business like this for almost seven decades. We strongly feel that if we take care of you to the very best of our abilities, you will come back when you need something new. Even more, you will tell your friends and relatives, and they will come see us too!

Sectional sofas are having a big moment right now—and it’s easy to see why.

They’re comfortable, flexible, and made for the way families really use their living rooms. A good sectional gives everyone room to spread out, whether you’re watching a movie, entertaining friends, taking an afternoon nap, or letting the dog claim his favorite spot.

Sectionals also come in a wide variety of sizes, fabrics, colors, and configurations, so they can work in everything from a cozy den to a large family room. Many styles include chaise lounges, reclining seats, consoles, cupholders, and other comfort features that make them even more useful.

At Better Homes Furniture, we have a great selection of sectionals to choose from, and we’re happy to help you find one that fits your room, your family, and your budget.

Come in, sit down, stretch out, and see why sectionals have become such a popular choice.

Never, ever any pressure to buy.

Getting up from your recliner shouldn’t have to be a struggle.

At Better Homes Furniture, we carry La-Z-Boy power lift recliners designed to give you the comfort you expect from La-Z-Boy along with a little extra help when it’s time to stand.

With the push of a button, the chair gently raises and tilts forward, making it easier to get back on your feet. It can be a great option for anyone who wants a little added assistance without giving up comfort.

Come by our La-Z-Boy Comfort Studio in North Wilkesboro and let us show you how these power lift recliners work.

Take your time. Try one out. Ask questions.

And, as always, never, ever any pressure to buy.
