This was written from one of my fellow Timber Bay colleagues:

This is a project that myself and another leader as well as four other boys are working on at Timber Bay camp. We work with youth who are struggling in life. Timber Bay is a faith-based organization that I've been involved with for over 50 years. This particular project we are replacing the Old Timber steps with 400 lb Stone steps! These steps are going to be here for more than a lifetime and are a legacy to these kids. They are going to be able to take their grandchildren up here and show them the work that they did! Very grateful too be able to continue to work with these boys sharing with them how about Jesus Christ can change their life!

This week we had TB Workcrews at camp, it’s a wonderful opportunity for youth.

If you would like to help with the next step- let me know!

What a blessing that everyone has united to clear trees, remove limbs, and stack logs with such dedication! There is still some fulfilling work to be done by raking paths so our kids can safely navigate without tripping over small twigs.

We had 5 Timber Bay Area’s show up yesterday to help out, boy those kids worked hard to clean up their camp.

It’s all about ownership, and loving a place they call home!

Jer and I have just completed a camp walk-through and I'm rallying for support to get us ready for the kids' return by July 7th! We've got some major work ahead with a cabin deck in disrepair and several large trees blocking our paths to lakeside. Fortunately, a preliminary flashlight inspection suggests the cabins are standing tall, and tomorrow I'll be inspecting the roofs more closely. If you're a chainsaw expert and available to lend a hand, please get in touch. I'm eager to dedicate my time off to restoring this camp to its former glory for our kids, and every moment counts ❤️.

Minnesota's black bear population is diverse, with approximately 13,000-18,000 bears residing in the state. These bears are primarily found in northern coniferous forests but have expanded their range to include central Minnesota and urban areas. Black bears are known for their keen sense of smell and can be seen in various habitats, including swamps and dense forests. They are also attracted to food-rich areas, such as crops and trash bins.
While black bears are wild animals, they are generally not dangerous unless provoked. It is important to maintain a safe distance and avoid provoking them to prevent any potential encounters.
