Sketch to Spark, Episode 5.

Watson came to work today. Summer vacation, so he's the co-pilot on this site visit.

We went out to check on a job we finished in PV and honestly, this one turned out really cool. The client, Cheryl, wanted a custom drawer built into the table, lighter, key, and windscreen all stored inside. No tank off to the side, no hose, nothing sitting out. Everything just lives in the drawer. Once you see it, you get it.

The stone has this orange veining running through it that matches her custom sofa. That is not something you find on a website. That is what happens when you go to the yard and actually look at slabs.

Cheryl said it herself: "The quality, the workmanship. My husband and I couldn't be happier."

That is the whole reason we do this.

Most fire tables make you pick. Either it's the thing everyone gathers around, or it's a table you can actually use. This one is both.

Bar height, ten feet long, welded stainless frame that doesn't move when someone leans on the end. Stone top, your pick. One flame running down the middle. The tank, the hose, the gas line, all of it hidden inside the base, because there's nowhere to put a tank at bar height and we weren't going to leave one sitting on the ground next to it.

Swipe through and you'll see why this isn't the kind of thing you buy twice.

Built in our California shop. Any size, any stone, any burner setup.

Most outdoor chairs make you pick: comfortable or good-looking. Never both. That's the problem we wanted to solve with the Famosa Lounge Chair.

We build the frame out of powder-coated aluminum or 304 stainless, depending on what the project needs. The cushions are reticulated foam, so instead of holding water like a sponge, they drain and dry fast. Fabric's weather-resistant performance grade, built to hold up season after season, not just the first summer. Leveling feet so it sits solid no matter what surface you're working with. And the lines stay clean and architectural so it pairs right into the rest of the Famosa collection.

Everything's built here in California, fully custom to your space. Visit our website in bio or call us at 888-303-2453 to start your project.

Nobody warned us the stone yard would become our happy place.

Our parents have 12 photos of us from when we were kids. We have 212 photos from our favorite slab selection.

No regrets.

Every table starts here. We visit the yard in person, pull slabs, hold them up, look at the veining, feel the weight. You cannot do this from a dropdown menu. The stone is half the table, so we treat it that way.

Natural stone only. Handcrafted in Anaheim. Worth every photo.

Most round tables are an afterthought. This one wasn't.

Welded stainless steel base, tapered to carry the full weight without wobbling. Stone top in granite, porcelain, or quartzite, one seamless piece, no seam line.

No "front" on a round table, so every seat gets the same clean look.

Adjustable flame burner runs off a hidden propane tank or your gas line. Three sizes to fit any patio.

Built in California 🔥

That's almost a quarter inch of solid stainless. Most outdoor tables are a sixteenth, thin enough to dent with your thumb.

You don't think about what your table is made of until the day it warps in the sun, or rust bleeds through the finish, or somebody sets down a cast iron pan and leaves a dimple in it. Then it's the only thing you see.

This one gets its color baked on next, then it ships to New Jersey.

Bring us a sketch and we'll build it. Check out our website, link in bio, or call us at (888) 303-2453.

Most fire tables show up in boxes and get bolted together in your backyard. Then a year goes by, the bolts loosen, and you've got a table that rocks every time somebody sets a drink down.

The Mammoth comes out of our shop in one welded piece. Stainless base, oversized burner you can turn down to a quiet flame or run wide open, stone top we pick out at the yard instead of off a catalog page. The propane drawer hides inside, or we run gas straight to it.

Swipe through and you'll see why this isn't the kind of thing you buy twice.

Built in our California shop. Any stone, any size, whatever height your seating is.

Installing the Long Beach Fire Table and walking through how the gas system actually works.

Both manual ignitions on this one. The gas line comes out of the house, goes to the control valve. That is what lets you turn it on and off. From there it runs to the burner. Pretty simple once you see it laid out.

One thing people do not always know about is the jam nut. It is thinner than a regular nut and it is used to secure hardware to panels. It wedges in and locks against the surface. That is literally why it is called a jam nut. I did not make that up. I would have called it a jelly nut.

Then the stainless steel control k**b goes on the valve, you tighten the set screw, and it is push to turn. Clean, simple, built to last.

Bar tables like this one are a little easier to get into during install, which is always a nice bonus.

If you have questions about how your table gets wired up before delivery, DM us and we will walk you through it.

The fire department knew our backyard pretty well growing up.

I was always outside, lighting fires, building campfires, figuring out how to keep them going just right. There was always something about it. The warmth, the light, the way people naturally gather around it.

As I got older, that curiosity turned into mechanical engineering and a career in manufacturing. The first fire table I built was for my parents. From there, it grew into something bigger.

Now Cooke is a family business I run with my sister Kate. She leads the design and client experience, I handle the engineering and fabrication, and together we’ve built something we’re really proud of.

Everything is made in house here in California.
That part matters to us. Not just for quality, but because it allows us to build things the right way and create jobs doing it.

At its core, it’s always been about more than just the product.

Fire has a way of bringing people together. It slows things down. It creates space for connection, for conversation, for moments you actually remember.

That’s why we build these the way we do.
So those moments last. So people linger a little longer. So it becomes something you come back to again and again, not something you’re replacing a few years down the line.

It’s meant to be a permanent part of your space.
And for us, it’s always been tied to some of our best memories. That’s what we want to pass on, creating pieces that help other families and spaces hold onto those same kinds of moments.

If you’re designing a space and want to incorporate a fire feature, we’d love to help.
