Greeting from Beyond....

Recently one of my followers requested some info be added to the page... namely a website address. So, I figured I would give everyone an update on that front...

IT IS HAPPENING!!!!!

Downside, as a perfectionist and an artist, I have an image in my mind that makes it difficult for me to pass the design work off to someone else to do for me.... and I'm by no means a web designer... so its slow. It also take a long time to upload a few hundred photos and get them organized into photo albums.

Please dont let the lack of a website discourage anyone... it is coming, just slowly. Until then all of my work CAN be viewed in my photo albums on this page, and I can be reached here or by email ([email protected]) if anyone has any questions or would like information on commisions.

Thanks again for the seemingly endless support and love.

I'm truly humbled by the recent likes. I'd love to know how some folks have found out about me and my art.

In other news, I have a few projects in the works

Leatherwork:
1) I am (still) working on a lammelar based design for back of the head protection for use in Rapier "Cut & Thrust" combat in the Society For Creative Anachronism (A living history organization that I am a member of). Check it out, or ask me about it.
2) I have also been asked by some folks to commision 2 of the very first 4 Livery Collars, In my Kingdom, that will be the symbol of a new Peerage for Rapier Combat in the Society for Creative Anachronism. I am honored that I was asked and hope I can do them proud (Thanks Chlothar)

Woodwork:
1) I am currently about half way done with a folding table design with scissor style legs
2) I have also been approached about designing and making a medieval style cart to include some nifty hidden compartments for shenanagins

I have been dealing with the setbacks of being busy with the other job and also the house (where my shop is) being broken into and burglarized. Fortunately, none of my tools were taken. I think they had no clue what they were, or what the actual value was.

Thanks again for everyone's interest and welcome to our new likes. As always, in the market for fine custom leatherwork, woodwork, or chainmaille jewelry?... If you can dream it, I can make it

Thanks to everyone who has liked my page lately. I have become rather busy with a new "other" job, but am still working on projects and taking custom commissions.

I'm highly disappointed in Etsy as a business and wi not be listing any further items there. We have a page on aftcra in the works that has been put on hold due to being busy at the restaurant. We are also working diligently on creating our own web presence.

Should anyone desire some fantastic custom leather or wood art or some beautiful chainmaille jewelry, please don't hesitate to contact me here or directly at my email ([email protected])

We look forward to serving you through art, instruction, or questions.

TIP OF THE WEEK: Shop + Ill = poor workmanship.... everything on hold...

Here we go folks, get in on the ground floor. I will be having an Inkle Loom made of all oak wood completed this next week.
This will be a 30"x12" loom with 7 pegs plus tensioner and will include a beautiful clear coat sealant and the finest in finish work. This will be the SECOND one, not the prototype, so all of the bugs will be worked out.
I am estimating the price to be about $75, but am willing to entertain offers. Let me know here if you're interested.

TIP OF THE WEEK: Leather Tooling: when doing any kind of tooling or stamping, remember to hold the tool or stamp solidly and completely vertical. Strike the tool evenly and flatly with your mallet. If it is not flat, you risk jostling or skipping the tool on the leather. If using a walking tool such as a beveler, you should strike the tool each time with equal pressure as the last time. Practice makes this much easier

I have just finished cutting the longest belt strip I have ever cut.... 102".... And it's NOT for the SCA.
