🍂 October Workshop Update | What’s Happening at Firefly?

There’s always something happening in the workshop! I work on multiple projects at once, each at a different stage of the process. Here’s what’s keeping me busy!

🤍 JUST FINISHED
The white desk listed on Facebook Marketplace is finished and ready for its next home!

🪵 COMMISSION IN PROGRESS
I’m restoring a wood tabletop that was previously painted by another refinisher. This commissioned piece is due November 3rd, and I’m working on bringing it back to life!

🪞 VINTAGE BEDROOM SET REDESIGN
I’m redesigning a vintage 3-piece wooden bedroom set featuring a dresser and two matching nightstands. I’m almost finished with the first nightstand, and I’m excited to bring my vision for this set to life!

The set hasn’t been claimed yet. You can claim it now or wait until the redesign is complete to see the finished look.

🎃 OCTOBER 28 | FALL VENDOR MARKET
I’ll be at the RCSA Southeast Campus Trunk-or-Treat Vendor Market from 6:30–8:30 PM with my remaining sewn goods.

I’m no longer sewing, so once these handmade items are gone, they’re gone!

🏡 NOVEMBER | PET & HOUSE SITTING
We’re officially booked November 5–8 for a pet and house-sitting stay in Tallahassee! ❤️

Thank you for following along and supporting Firefly Handcrafted Home. From furniture restorations and vintage redesigns to our final handmade finds, there’s always something happening around here! 🍂

Same piano. A brighter story. 🤎

This sweet family trusted me with a piece that holds a special place in their home, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of its next chapter.

The goal was to move away from the red tones of the original cherry finish and bring out a richer, deeper brown while preserving the beautiful carved details that give this Baldwin piano its character.

Carefully refinished, thoughtfully restored, and ready for many more years of music and memories. 🎹

Thank you for trusting Firefly Handcrafted Home with such a meaningful piece.

I wanted to share a change I’m making with Firefly Handcrafted Home.

I’ve decided to step away from sewing and focus on furniture refinishing and restoration, along with custom painting for cabinets, built-ins, and vanities.

Furniture has been part of my journey since 2016, and I never truly walked away from it. Even during the seasons when I wasn’t refinishing pieces for clients, I was still creating for myself. Every time we moved, I sold the custom pieces I had worked on, only to find myself wanting to create more.

Now, with the furniture side of my business growing and wanting to protect more time for my family, I’m ready to give this work the focus it deserves.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my sewing journey. I’m so grateful, and I’m excited to keep doing what I love most.

This one got to go home today. 🤍

This beautiful dresser was a custom order, refinished to coordinate with the his-and-hers nightstands I previously completed for this wonderful family.

Finished in French Villa, with warm brass hardware and all the little details carefully brought back to life, this piece was made to feel right at home with the pieces they already loved.

There’s something extra special about getting to see a piece leave the shop and become part of someone’s home — especially when they come back to me for another piece. 🥰

Thank you for trusting Firefly Handcrafted Home with your furniture. It truly means so much.
