This is beautiful! What do we think about dark or black kitchen cabinetry? We think it can be a fantastic choice, depending on factors like the natural light in the space, existing flooring, and how the kitchen will be used. With the right balance of materials and finishes, dark cabinetry can create a look that feels both dramatic and timeless.

Americans are “moving away from safe, neutral kitchen designs” – including all-white kitchens – in favor of darker colors, richer materials and “interiors that reflect their own personality,” according to a report by CopperSmith, a Minneapolis-based supplier of architectural metalwork and surfacing applications.

This week’s palette pairs the understated elegance of Lioher Zenit Supermatt in Gris Nube with the dramatic veining of Bedrosians Imperial Viola polished ultra-low crystalline silica mineral surface. The soft gray cabinetry creates a calm, contemporary foundation, while the rich plum and burgundy veining adds depth and character.

The finishing touch? The Griffin Series center pull in Matte Black—a clean, sculptural accent that brings the entire look together.

We love how a few carefully chosen materials can create a kitchen that feels both refined and distinctive.

Which detail catches your eye first: the dramatic veining or the matte black hardware?

A handsome mix of warm, natural tones and sophisticated details. Metro Door in Natural sets the foundation, paired with Arizona Tile’s Salento Visone 12x24 flooring, Marvel Fior Di Bosco Polished Archer, Flash Bars in Graphite, Agglomerte Marble Regium, and Gem Cotto.

We love how these materials work together to create a warm, layered look that feels both timeless and current.
