Long read, but I promise it’s worth it. Please take a moment to read!
We would love for you and your family to consider joining us for the Emmett Till 71st Anniversary Commemoration Weekend, taking place August 28–30 in Jackson, Mississippi, and throughout the Delta.
At just 14 years old, Emmett Till’s story became a defining part of American history. This weekend gives our children an opportunity to learn about Emmett’s life and legacy, hear about the incredible courage of Mamie Till-Mobley, and experience these important historical places firsthand.
The weekend will include:
✨ Opening press conference at the Mississippi State Capitol featuring Jackson Mayor John Horhn and other special guests
🕯️ Candlelight Vigil
🎬 Screening of TILL with award-winning filmmaker Keith Beauchamp
📚 The Till Trail of Tears and Terror Educational Tour, featuring historic sites, museums, and National Monument locations throughout the Mississippi Delta
2-for-1 registration is currently available, and there is also an opportunity to sponsor a youth to participate in the educational tour.
This could potentially be the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation’s final commemoration in Mississippi, which makes this opportunity even more meaningful.
We truly hope our families will consider making the trip. What a powerful opportunity for our children to learn, reflect, ask questions, and connect with a significant part of our history where it actually happened. ❤️
Let’s expose our children to history beyond the classroom and give them experiences they’ll carry with them for a lifetime. 💙💕

August 1 is National Minority Organ Donation Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the critical need for more diverse organ, eye, and tissue donors.
Across our communities, thousands of individuals are waiting for the gift of life. By learning about organ donation, having meaningful conversations with our families, and registering as donors, we can help reduce disparities and bring hope to those in need.
Every registration has the power to save lives, strengthen families, and create a lasting legacy of compassion.
Together, let's continue Elevating Excellence by empowering our communities through education, advocacy, and service.
One Decision. Endless Impact. Save Lives.
