Hello again!
Sharing a little green on my feed today from perhaps my favorite piece of all time. This dresser has a classic combination of gorgeous natural wood, painterly ceramic k***s, and a cool custom green reminiscent of Pressed Fern by 🌿
As I continue to prepare our house for the Big Move™️, I can’t help but reminisce on all the great memories we have had here, this being one of them! This dresser was my first commissioned piece and the first one completed under the newly name, Bridge Creek Designs (formerly known as Delightfully Dani Designs 🥴). I was so excited someone was willing to give me the chance to work on such a special family heirloom. I was all the more ecstatic when I was able to bring their vision to life.
We count ourselves lucky to have been able to spread our wings here, if just for a moment. Can’t wait to see what else life has in store for us! 🍀

Taking a break from the roadside potato today to do some much-needed moving chores. As we get ready to list and sell the house, it’s been fun to take a look back at where we started. Home doesn’t happen overnight and this office space is Exhibit A.
For years, this room was a dumping ground, a collection of things we didn’t want to put in other rooms, without the storage space it needed to look pretty. We tried two desks and twice as many furniture configurations before the room felt right. It was only in September that we spent a weekend removing popcorn ceiling and painting our navy blue walls. And this past December, we finished furnishing the room with a pair of Rast dressers flanking my grandpa’s old roll-top desk. We turned this room into everything we always hoped it would be just two months. Now, we’re getting ready to say goodbye.
Bittersweet moment aside, we are really excited to get to our next home! I recently hid a hint about where we’re moving in one of my reels. Any guesses??

Taking the day off from furniture today to do some deep cleaning and whip this house into shape! Joseph and I are meeting with our realtor tomorrow and we are both excited for this kitchen to be the star of the show! Working on the little details today and hoping they pay off tomorrow. Wish us luck! ✨

Happy Tuesday, friends!
I’m so excited to share with you this look at our (finally) finished kitchen! When we moved in, Joseph and I knew we had our work cut out for us in the kitchen. Over the last three years, we slowly chipped away at projects around the house, kitchen included. Makeovers like this don’t happen overnight, and it took a lot of trial and error to reface and retool these cabinet doors. Yes—those are the same cabinets! It’s bittersweet to finish up this project since it’s our last major makeover in this home. 2021 will see a lot of change for our little family, but I’m glad that change started here in this kitchen. We’re so glad to be able to spend our last few months here enjoying this space and the rest of the hard work we’ve put into this house!

Today, I’m sharing a look at my favorite piece in our home: our entertainment center! It’s painted in a custom mix of and has a warm, welcoming blue hue that’s both familiar yet pushed me out of my comfort zone. It can be daunting to mix up a custom color for your home, but samples are key! We mixed up a few different ratios of Coal Black and Homestead Blue before we found a combination that worked for us. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome! 💙

Working on my project lineup today and scouring for my next piece. I’ve been itching to refinish a piece in a gorgeous green like this one done in Bayberry! In the meantime, I’m throwing it back to these pair of nightstands that now call San Diego their home. There’s just something about a lovely green thats vibrant and refreshing and neutral all at once. Happy Friday, y’all! 🌿

Good Monday, friends! This was one of the most intimidating pieces I’ve ever worked on, and also possibly the oldest. Not only that, but as a family heirloom, the pressure was on to get it just right! I worked with the owner to combine a respect for the history of the piece with dashes of paint and it turned out perfectly imperfect, just the way I like them!

Progress takes times, and so do I. Sometimes projects here begin and never seem to end, paralyzed by my incessant need for everything to be perfectly perfect and just right. But sometimes better is just that—-better!
This is our shed, which I dreamt about getting rid of before we even moved into our home almost three years ago. But, little by little, we were able to make it better. Some paint here, some handmade doors there, and now I walk out back and I smile at our awesome little shed. And I definitely don’t want to get rid of it anymore. Did it take longer than I would have wanted? Yes. Is there still a piece of trim on the back that needs to be painted? Maybe. But this shed still had life to live, and I had a spark of creativity to give. To make it better.
Here’s to making the things some people want to get rid of better. Thanks for coming along for the ride ✨

I interrupt these regularly scheduled furniture-related broadcasts to wish a very Happy Adoption Day to my workshop pup, Odis! You may chew holes into our walls, but you bring a lot of joy to our lives too!🌿
