Hey there! It's been a hot second! 2025 has been wild so far. Felt pretty crummy at the start of the year, then my family caught the cold funk and I got rear-ended a few days before my birthday (talk about unfair). Sheesh! Anyway, I finally felt well enough to finish this nightstand that was a custom request to pair with a previous piece I did. Thanks, Sherry, for being so patient and understanding! I love your Alice room!!! 🍄

I've moved on to a new project. This will be a coordinating nightstand to the Alice dresser that was sold last month. When I was prepping it, I noticed the veneer was so old it was starting to fail (also missing pieces). The original glue was no longer holding. It's best to remove it so that it doesn't continue to lift over the next several years. Feels good to finally get working on something after a few weeks of feeling bleh! 😊

I know I said I was going to take photos and post them. I've been feeling a bit 😷 lately. Hardware is on! I added just a bit of gold gilding. I'll take more photos as soon. Happy weekend, all!

Do you do this? I haven't prepped this piece yet, but slapped a little paint on to get an idea of what it would look like. 😜 Someone tried to save the veneer on the bottom of this piece. I think it's calling for new feet (see in the photo).What'cha think?
