The genesis of Serenissimo revisits the craft of Encaustic art, or Venetian stucco — a fine sand plaster applied by spatula, with colors inspired by 18th-century painter Francesco Guardi, then heated and fused.
Precisely delineated, Serenissimo becomes a graphic composition: four columns and a linear steel girder float the tabletop above. In the spirit of Lella and Massimo Vignelli’s original design, geometry and materials speak through elemental forms, soft Venetian tones, refined metal finishes, and a wide glass surface — achieving a harmonious balance of monumental proportions.
The table is available to experience in person at our showroom in Old City.

Designed by Pierre Paulin in 1960, the Tulip Collection remains a true mid-century modern classic. A perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and innovation, these visually striking chairs are highly versatile and ergonomic. Inspired by the petals of a tulip, their sculptural forms gently embrace the sitter, providing exceptional support.

Introducing INLAY
Inlay entirely recovers the inlay technique, an ancient and precious old time tradition. The product is available in two models: a sideboard for the sitting room and a chest of drawers with 2 drawers, covered with a decoration recalling parallelepipeds crossed in space, leading to a unique 3 D effect. Inlay is the result of an accurate processing technique, with 4 different oak colours and a black profile: a contour line separating the different faces of the texture while defining the design.

Featured project of the month:
Main Line Home
After successfully furnishing their city pied-à-terre, these clients knew they had to work with Minima and Jill to design and furnish their Main Line home. This project beautifully blends timeless elegance with modern sophistication. Minotti’s sleek, luxurious furniture creates an ideal balance with the traditional architecture of the home.
The use of dark charcoal gray in the formal living room is a bold choice, but the reflective materials—like the scalloped capiz shell tiles in the niche and patina-effect ceiling treatment—bring a sense of lightness and depth, which makes the space feel both dramatic and dynamic.
In contrast, the family room, bathed in natural light and featuring warm, earthy tones, offers a serene, welcoming atmosphere. This careful juxtaposition of light and dark, natural and reflective materials, creates a dynamic interplay of moods between the two spaces, providing a perfect balance of luxury and comfort.
The mix of Arte wall coverings, luxurious lighting, and carefully chosen rugs suggests a cohesive design approach, one that combines texture, color, and craftsmanship in every detail for a sophisticated yet welcoming space overall.

Half Dome by Naoto Fukasawa
Never the same Half Dome, never the same light or the same mood. ...Half Dome is a great mountain with endless variations of lighting and sky situations and seasonal characteristics; the many images reflect the varied creative responses to this remarkable granite monolith. The moonlight has a particular size of diameter as people imagine it. The dimension of Half Dome light follows our image of the moonlight.

The Minima team had an incredible time at the Design Excellence Awards Celebration held at The Art Museum! It was an honor to be part of such an inspiring event and to preview the stunning exhibition, Things in Themselves, the first major U.S. exhibition celebrating Naoto Fukasawa’s career over the past 25 years.
We’re excited to share some photos from the event and introduce few iconic pieces that can be purchased through Minima’s showroom.

With an approach to functional design that prioritizes ease of use, aesthetic simplicity, and close attention to the ways that mundane objects and environments record our everyday habits, Tokyo-based product designer Naoto Fukasawa has been a hugely influential force in design for more than two decades. Best-known for his prior work as design director of MUJI—the Japanese “anti-brand” consumer goods company—Fukasawa has designed across a broad range of categories and media. Whether shaping electronics for a global market or collaborating with artisanal firms on fine furniture, Fukasawa advocates for a design philosophy of longevity, accessibility, and subtle humor over novelty, ephemerality, or blatant commercialism.
Presenting fully-realized production designs alongside the studio’s working sketches and models for select projects, Things in Themselves offers a rare opportunity to explore Fukasawa’s design ethos—prizing an essential “fit” between objects, users, and their environments—and creative process.

Introducing Gap, the wall unit bookcase designed by Carlo Tamborrini—a perfect blend of sculptural elegance and functional design.
It consists of a backdrop, thin shelves and an outer metal frame that generates a strong aesthetic sign that acts as a book-end as well as a light source, thanks to the built-in LED strip that runs through its perimeter. Its compact vertical design is ideal for illuminating and enhancing any space, and the LED lights can be adjusted via a smartphone app.
Available in two stunning finishes: Rosso Cina and Grigio Piombo.
Visit us at 118 N 3rd Street to experience the elegance and craftsmanship of Gap in person.
