Summer is officially here and the 100-degree weather is on its way back! 🥵

This is our 7th summer serving our unhoused friends, and honestly, it never gets easier. Over the years we have seen some friends make it off the streets 🙌🏼 Praise God! We have also lost some friends to the hardships of street life 🙏🏼😢, and others moved away and we never saw them again. Sadly, every week brings so many new faces — young and old.

But one thing they can always count on is a small group of dedicated women and men who show up every Friday, every month, year after year, making sure they have a cold drink, food, and kindness. For the past 7 years, we have remained committed to being there for our community.

We truly could not do this without our amazing supporters, donors, and volunteers. Thank you, and praise God for always providing and keeping this outreach going! 🙌🏼

If we can help save even one life by providing the items we bring each week, then every mile, every hour, and every sacrifice is worth it.

Please keep our unhoused friends and our outreach team in your prayers this summer. 🙏🏼 Pray that this summer is gentler than past years, that more doors open for shelter and resources, and that God continues to connect us with people and organizations willing to help provide the donations needed to keep our friends hydrated and safe through another Arizona summer.

We also want to give a special thank you to this week’s supporters:
• Nobel Bread and Husna for donating bread and supplies for our spaghetti meal and sandwiches 🍝🥪
• Heat Relief Network (HRN) for the water and supplies we distribute every week 💦
•Gudi, Natalie, Kyle and Larkspur Church for the weekly meat and pb&j sandwiches 🥪 we distribute every week. We could use more peanut butter and jelly if anyone can donate some.
•Josue for volunteering with us during Friday street outreach. It was so nice having one of our volunteers back with us — we missed you! ❤️

Thank you all for standing with Blessings to the Calles Homeless Outreach as we continue serving those in need. We appreciate you all!

Happy Friday!!!

Thank you 🙏🏼 Heat Relief Network (HRN) for this incredible pallet of water 💦 received today for our unhoused community. This blessing is more than just water — it is compassion, hope, and life-saving support during these extreme temperatures.

We are beyond grateful for your generosity and partnership in helping us care for our friends on the streets. This will truly save lives. ❤️

❤️Happy Friday! Today was outreach day, and we are always excited to serve our unhoused friends.❤️

We have been very busy lately preparing for the summer heat, and we are grateful to share some wonderful updates. After much anticipation, we have officially qualified for water pickup—a huge blessing as we prepare for the hotter months ahead. If all goes as planned, we will begin pickups next week. 🙏🏼 A heartfelt thank you to Marisa and The Reborn Church for helping make this possible.

We are also waiting to hear back from Bombas in the coming months regarding socks. 🧦 Socks are one of the most requested essentials at outreach, along with underwear. While we provide them whenever possible, there have been times when we simply did not have enough. This opportunity is another incredible blessing, and we are trusting God’s timing as He continues to provide for our outreach and for our unhoused friends. Praise be to God 🙌🏼

This week, we were also blessed with beautiful lunch bags that included a PB&J sandwich 🥪, chips, fruit 🍊, and a heartfelt note that read: “You are not forgotten. You are loved.” What a meaningful reminder to our friends on the streets that they are seen, valued, and deeply cared for. 💗

We are beyond thankful for our donors, friends, and family who continue to stand beside us in this mission. Because of your generosity, we are able to provide meals, drinks, and much-needed essentials every single week to those facing hardship. While we may no longer serve in the park as we once did—and miss those moments of connection dearly—we trust that God places us exactly where we are needed most. We will continue to be His boots 🥾 on the streets, serving His people wherever they are.

If you would still like to support our outreach, we are in need of dog food and supplies. We are also always in need of men’s clothing—especially pants and shorts 🩳 in sizes 28–38, men’s shirts in sizes medium to 2X, shoes 👟 in sizes 9–13, and lightweight long-sleeve shirts for protection from the sun. If you are cleaning out your closet, please keep us in mind. These items go directly into the hands of those who need them most.

We also maintain an Amazon wish list with needed items such as socks, underwear, and other essentials until larger donations arrive. Every contribution—big or small—makes a real difference, and we are truly grateful. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/18S2ERV7FO4M9?ref_=wl_share

Thank you again for helping us continue this work. Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend!

☀️ Summer Heat Is Here — We Need Your Help ☀️

Well, summer has arrived early here in Arizona, and we are already experiencing 100°+ temperatures. This is especially dangerous for our friends living on the streets.

We are currently preparing by freezing water and getting ready to distribute essential items to help keep our unhoused community safe during this extreme heat. We’ve already received requests for sunblock and electrolyte drinks, which we do not currently have.

🙏 We are reaching out to our community for help.

We are in urgent need of:
• Bottled water (for freezing & distribution)
• Electrolyte drinks (Gatorade, etc.)
• Sunblock
• Easy-to-eat snacks
• Dog food
• Dog shoes/paw protection (to protect paws from hot pavement)

As many of you know, the pavement can reach dangerous temperatures and burn within seconds. We want to help protect not just our friends, but their pets too.

It looks like it’s going to be a long summer starting very early this year. Any help is truly appreciated and makes a direct impact.

❤️ Our Outreach Continues
We will continue serving meals and clothing every Friday, along with additional outreach on weekends to distribute water, electrolytes, and sandwiches.

While heat respite centers are expected to open, it may not be until May — leaving a critical gap where our community needs support the most.

We’re grateful to see other organizations out there helping as well. It truly takes a village. If you’re out and about, we encourage you to carry a few extra waters or snacks to share — small acts of kindness go a long way.

📸 Photos shared are from the last couple of Fridays of outreach.

🙏 Thank you to our donors and supporters who continue to keep us going. We couldn’t do this without you.

Happy February ❤️ with March around the corner!

The holidays have come and gone, and we pray everyone had a blessed season with family and friends.

Our Christmas 🎄 outreach was a bit slower than usual last December, but that simply meant we had more to distribute during street outreach that day. We were saddened to lose most of our photos due to a lost phone, but our hearts are still full of gratitude. Thank you to all of our incredible donors and volunteers who made it possible—you are truly a blessing.

The start of 2026 was a little rough for us. For the past couple of months, we’ve been doing street outreach with only one vehicle 🚘, which limited how much we could distribute. Still, we did what we could. The good news? Our second vehicle 🚙 is finally up and running—praise God! 🙌

We would love to get our truck fixed next, as it makes donation pickups and distribution so much easier. However, all of our funds went toward repairing the car. We’re praying 🙏🏼 about it and may hold a fundraiser soon.

Now—we’re ready for March!

Out on the streets, many of our friends don’t keep track of time the way most of us do. Some only know day and night; others aren’t sure what day or month it is. But when they see us coming, they know—it’s Friday.

A friend once told us, “Food is love.” Yes, it is. ❤️

When they see us, they know they’re receiving a hot home-cooked meal, pizza 🍕, snacks, and fellowship. We also love surprising them with holiday treats. This month, they received Valentine 💘 cupcakes and candy bags ❤️.

February is the month of love 💗, and we make it a point to show our friends just how much they are cared for. If they feel unloved out there, we want them to know they are loved. They are our friends. They are family. If we have it, we share it. We remind them that our donors love them too.

The smiles we see when they receive something holiday-related are priceless—pure joy. It often brings back memories of times they once celebrated. These small gestures help them feel included in the simple joys many of us experience.

This month, we also celebrate 🎉 our donors. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Every month, our amazing friends from Larkspur Church prepare 100+ PB&J sandwiches. Our wonderful friends Gudi, Natalie, and Kyle make just as many meat and cheese sandwiches 🥪 each week and often donate burritos and fruit as well—thank you! Reborn Church has provided us with hundreds, if not thousands, of donated items over the years. And we can’t forget the huge weekly pizza 🍕 donation from our generous donor, Syed.

We could go on and on naming the many family members, friends, and supporters who stand by us—even when we don’t post daily, weekly, or monthly. They know we’re out there doing the footwork, faithfully serving our friends every week. We refuse to give up on them.

We celebrate every victory when someone leaves the streets, and we walk alongside those who are newly there.

If we can make even one small impact in someone’s life, we will continue to do so—because hope changes everything. ❤️

Thank you all and God Bless!

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving from Blessings to the Calles! 🦃🍽

We hope everyone enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving Day surrounded by family and friends.
Last Friday we were blessed to provide a wonderful Thanksgiving lunch to our unhoused friends — and we could not have done it without the incredible support of so many. A heartfelt thank-you to Larkspur Church for opening their doors and allowing us to serve from their church, our amazing Jesus people volunteers, Marisela, Mana, Carmen, Diane, Gudi, our outreach team, our generous donors and cooks, and the wonderful ASU students who collected items and prepared meatball subs to share.
It was truly a blessed day for many hungry people, and we are so grateful we were able to be there to serve them.
🎄 Next Event: Christmas Lunch – December 19th
We are now preparing for our upcoming Christmas Lunch and we need our community once again. We are looking for:

Happy Friday, everyone!

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an update, and we want to start by apologizing for the delay. The past few months have flown by as we’ve been busy adjusting and expanding our outreach efforts.

This summer, we had to transition from our regular outreach in the park to more street outreach, as many of our unhoused friends were slowly removed from the park. With upgrades happening in the area we serve, our friends were no longer welcome there and had to spread out to find safe places to stay during the hot summer days. Naturally, we went with them — making sure they still received food, water, clothing, and other essential items wherever they were.

This shift has brought new challenges. Serving out of vehicles isn’t as simple or personal as setting up in one place. But it has also opened doors to meet and support many new faces, which has truly been a blessing.

We’re happy to share that some of our original friends still return to the park on Fridays, remembering that we’ve always been there for them. So, we’ve started returning as well — even if it’s just to serve a few. For many, that one meal means a lot. We’ll continue to be present at the park and on the streets, doing as much as time and resources allow.

With colder weather approaching, we could really use your help. We are currently in need of:
🦴 Pet food (we’re completely out)
🍪 Snacks
🧣 Blankets, bags, jackets, hoodies, beanies, gloves, and socks — items that are easy to distribute during street outreach and essential for the months ahead.

If you’d like to help, please reach out to us. Every donation — big or small — makes a real difference.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our generous supporters who continue to donate and keep this mission going. Special thanks to:

The Reborn Church

Larkspur Church- Jan & Jobb

Kyle and Natalie Decker

Gudi Acree

And many more…

Your support allows us to keep showing up for our friends in need. 💛 Thank you all and God bless!

We have a very late “Thank you” we owe to a few wonderful donors and we will start with Fritzi Harri-shawty and her wonderful volunteers who made these wonderful "Pack A Sack" lunch bags for us last month to distribute to out unhoused.

These sack lunches included some snacks and a wonder pb&j sandwich 🥪 , that were made and put together by some wonderful seniors that look forward to making these sacks every year for the homeless. We want to thank them all for their wonderful act of kindness they do to makes these for the homeless.

We also want to thank Fritzi, her wonderful husband and their church for donated a few large party subs a month prior to this, for us to distribute to our unhoused as well. ❤️ They were a blessing to many.

Thank you 🙏🏼 and God bless you all!

God bless these wonderful volunteers at Larkspur Christian Church - Disciples of Christ who make us peanut butter and jelly sandwiches 🥪 every week for our unhoused friends!

Not only do they make us 100 plus sandwiches every week to distribute, they also make another 100 plus for the Respite Center! Now that’s a lot of work, not to mention a lot of sandwiches! 🥪 Thank you Larkspur volunteers 🙏🏼 for all you all do for our unhoused friends. Blessings!

If anyone is interested in donating peanut butter and/or jelly for sandwiches 🥪 , donations can be dropped off at Larkspur church, Monday - Saturday, 12:00 PM-7:00 PM. We are also accepting donations on their behalf as well.
