Just finished a custom order for 10% all cotton seat cushions. Made for an old school bus being converted to a living space. I'll post photos once customer receives them and gets them in place. Doing a special size also for an RV nest week. I like creative projects.

Customers did a whole room with tatami mats and a 5" cotton futon mattress. I like what they did to their meditation/peace/no media room.

THE first landlord on Camelback Road where my shop is. Henry Bryan. Henry grew up in north Florida and started out by selling watermelons on the side of the road at 14 years old. He loved to buy land and just sit on it and wait for a buyer. Henry was a good old school man. He drove a 12 yr old Volvo station wagon. I had many conversations with him back in 1987-1990. A genuine person for sure. He married the girl he met in the first grade.

A customer called on the phone and said they think they need a new futon and they texted me a picture of their old futon mattress. Lordy. They didn’t get this one from me. But they did come in and buy a new mattress. We had a good laugh when they came in.

This new hybrid futon mattress seems to be gaining in popularity lately with buyers. Individual pocketed coil springs with a high resolution foam on top and layers of felted cotton added on top of that. It is an evolution from 30 years ago when I started out with just cotton batting for the futon mats. Change is good.
