Eucalyptus beauty.
It’s one thing to build a door… and another to hang it.
This project has been a fun one. We used three different locally sourced woods( mango, eucalyptus, and pecan for the jamb) then stained it black. Not the direction we expected, but it was our client’s vision, and it turned out to be a home-run.

Some sweet 5” thick mesquite to be transformed into not one, but two awesome king size beds. Who can cut 5” thick slabs. We can. 🤓

Starting to feel like I should just build stuff rather than wait for someone to wander in and commission a piece.
This is the result of that type of creative freedom.
Today…the battle was won.
There is something about taking a tree that grew however it wanted and shaping it into something badass.
And adding a boulder whenever possible.
This bench is almost ready.
