Made this little charcuterie board! This is the bachelor's board! Haha. Definitely has a masculine feel to it or atleast i think it does.
When I explored the idea of charcuterie boards, I wanted to bring a new element to them. Something different. But yet something that is still functional to "charcutering." Hahaha My result was exploring height. Which I haven't really seen.
With height you get to access or open up different ways to display or accent foods. And a nice side effect, if you will, is cleanliness. Unexpected but good! Haha. With the height, it leads to less other foods being accidently touched. For instance, if it is a block a cheese up higher, when you cut down through it, your hand is still heigh enough that it isnt touching any of the other foods that may be in the lower front of that block. That's the side of me that spent a lot of time working in kitchens! Hahaha
And ahhh, who doesnt love walnut with black hardware....

1st bulk order.....shipped out! Had an idea for pixel lights used in outdoor Christmas lighting, and I'm glad to say I found what I hope will be a long and wonderful relationship with one of the top vendors in the biz! Waiting for the vendor to announce the new product before I disclose what it is...can't wait!

Just can't seem to get away from charcuterie boards! Haha. I've was thinking about this design for some time now, with the raised shapes on a plank and having magnets in the back to hold up the cutlery.

Did this a few months ago for a neighbor. I call it Modern Mid-century rather than mid-century modern. At first glance, the simplicity of the overall design is what you'll notice. There are only 4 elements (wall tiles, circle accents, tv, and floating cabinet) on a very big wall. That is what gives you the "modern" feel. But as you take in the design, it's then, that you start to see the mid-century modern elements show themselves. The asymmetric design of the wall tiles, the pattern of the circles, and then, the warmth of the walnut as it contrasts with the dark walls is really what's pulling it towards the mid-century modern.
Was very pleased with how this all came together!

This was a fun design project. What can be done with a pile of mesquite stumps.....🤔
