The hunt to find unique and and ornate furniture and decor, from all eras. Giving each piece new life, and a new purpose. Reclaim, redo, relove.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted or made ugly furniture pretty. Mainly due to working too much and no time and recently due to injury and more time on my hands then I know what to do with. Recently, I discovered chalk art. I know it’s been around a few years, but I’m never tried it until a week ago when I made chalk board signs for my preschool grandsons. Then, an obsession took over. It’s not as neat and organized as I would have liked it. All in all, I am very pleased at how it turned out! This is my first real chalk art for a cute, fun and special little girl that is having a Moana themed birthday party today. Happy 2nd Birthday sweet Maggie!

It's been awhile since I've posted , So many life changes this past year that they came as top priority. Here is something that I am nearly done with. Have to finish the mirror, not sure if I should match it to the dresser, or match the silver hardware. Open to suggestions:) I'm in love💘 with how this has turn out!!!! The best part it's all for me!!!!

It has been a while since I've posted or for that matter picked up a paint brush. I have this petite cutie in need of of some love. This will be a custom order for a coworker of mine who is having her first baby- a little girl:) nursery will be grey and coral. They have already picked out what looks like an old dry sink to be used as a changing table , can't wait to see how it looks in her new room!

What am I doing on this day off??? Cleaning and organizing. Is this what I really want to be doing? No, not really. But, I feel I must before I can do another creative thing. So many projects, not enough space.

Finally, this credenza is completed. She will be going to her new home tomorrow, painted with general finishes antique white, top general finishes dark walnut gel stain, generals brown glaze, and will be touched up with valspars dark black glaze.
One more project to complete this w/e and taking a well needed break for a few days:)
Love the sense of accomplishment at the end of every project.

I know I said Brown Dog is closed today, but I have this thought and need to put it out there before I forget.
On Sunday, I was gifted two pieces of furniture, very heavy pieces of furniture. Thank you Dan Henze! Now, what to do with them. One is a no brainer, armoire in excellent shape, has character, and really cool hardware. I love me some blues and greens and obsessed with all shade of turquoise. So you see where I'm going with that piece, will include pic.
Now, the second piece. Currently I have my workshop stuff on it because I'm in desperate need of shelves for organization. But, I don't want this big piece of furniture in my garage forever. Here's the piece and here are my ideas:
Actual entertainment center is bottom photo.
