Here’s another Before, During, and After 😍

This vintage desk was transformed into the cutest set of nightstands, painted in SW Naval. The original hardware was cleaned and all of the drawers were lined in fabulous print!

The white paint and primer were stripped off this dresser 😅 and it was restored back to its original look with a Walnut Gel Stain!

1. Found this solid wood desk on FBMP. These desks tend to be too small for the average person who may work from home or need a desk for an office space.

2. Rather than it head to the land fill, I can deconstruct this desk into nightstands! This consists of removing the center drawer and its supports, removing the top and cutting it into new sections that will cover the new sections!

3. Lots of work filling in the imperfections, holes from deconstruction, and years of wear and tear. Both pieces were sanded down to get rid of the old finish. I used Bondo to fill in the larger holes and another Bondo product for the small scratches. That’s the red you see all over!

4. Once the Bondo is sanded down, the pieces are given a good cleaning using soap and water. I used STIX bonding primer to lock in all of the wood tannins and sanded it smooth. The primer highlighted a few more spots that needed touched up.

5. Once this is dry and sanded down (again) I’ll be working on making drawer stops so the drawers don’t go back too far

6. I’ll reattach the top and start the paining process! These will be painted in a beautiful Naval from SW.

7. The original hardware will be cleaned and polished

8. Drawer liners will be added to all of the drawers
