This table suffered some storm damage from the April tornado. Our client wanted it sanded and stained so she could give it as a token of appreciation for the help she received afterwards

We scraped and sanded the table, careful not to scratch the decorative inlaid tiles. Then Diane used General Finishes Java Gel Stain and their Satin topcoat

A Gobles woman was cleaning out her mother’s house and asked if we could give this rocking chair new life

After sanding off the old dust and stain, Diane used General Finishes Java Gel Stain and added their Satin topcoat

The client provided the seat cover material

We were asked to refresh this secretary and match the stain as close as possible to the original

I think we did a pretty good job from what it looked like, (see the before, the sanded and the after photos below) to the finished project. Diane even cleaned up the hardware to its original brilliance

We did some research with the help of A.I. to determine an approximate age on this piece and it came back stating this was made between 1890-1905. One unexpected thing happened however. While cleaning this secretary, an Indian head penny fell onto the floor dated 1904, which seems to corroborate what the A.I. suggested

We’ve been enjoying our hobby for over four years and in that time we’ve refreshed nearly 300 pieces of furniture

A Plainwell couple wanted this table and chairs to compliment their kitchen cabinets

The table and chairs required a thorough sanding. Once that was done, Diane used All-in-One Spruce paint and General Finishes Java gel stain and finished it with a General Finishes Semi Gloss top coat

A Sandy Pines (Hopkins) lady asked us to update her table and chairs to compliment her new kitchen

After a visit she and Diane decided to paint the set using All-in-One’s Putty (off white/cream) paint

We gave the table and chairs a light sanding and filled in a few scrapes and gouges and returned it to her looking new

A repeat client in Paw Paw had this small table and six chairs that needed to be refinished

We sanded the furniture, filled some small scraps, and then painted using All-in-one Paints Iron Gate. The before and after looks strikingly different

An Otsego couple had this table, bench and chairs and wanted a new finish on them

Our research (ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude) suggested this furniture is made of Rosewood, a rare and expensive hardwood, based on the swirling patterns of dark and light wood

The textured table and bench were challenging when removing the old paint and stains, however Diane used a healthy dose of CitriStrip on both before using a soft padded sander to finish

Once the sanding was completed, Diane used General Finishes Black Gel Stain and their Satin Topcoat which brings a nice shine to the whole project

From a distressed red to a brand new red. Our Paw Paw client had this table that was previously distressed and wanted it repainted. She mentioned she had someone else paint it but didn’t like how it turned out

She had another piece that she wanted this table to match so we took a drawer from that and had Sherwin Williams color match (sorry no photo of the other drawer that we matched)

After cleaning and sanding off so bad spots, Diane used a wood filler and then painted it with the color match red and it turned out perfect

The client was so happy when we dropped off her table, she asked us to take on another project (dining room chairs and a small table). Always a good sign when someone likes your work and asks you to do more

Delivery is possible in SW Michigan

We took this vintage china hutch and gave it an update. We removed the doors, painted it with General Finishes Iron Gate (black) and their Light Brown stain.

We added a back panel giving it a stylish look and replaced the old hardware with new brass cup handles.

This has been staged several ways to show the versatility this hutch can offer and/or to give ideas to a new owner

Dimensions are as follows: Height 69in. Length 36in. Width 15in at its widest point. Comments are encouraged
