We’ve got a new vendor. He doesn’t have a shop name. He doesn’t do social media. What he does have is this pit viper and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Attention! Our lovely wonderful shopkeeper accidentally sold our beloved Agnes today! Shes our shop mascot! If you bought her, can you please return her and we will compensate you. 😭

The time has come… First Friday Poughkeepsie IS BACK! We’ll be participating along with 20 of our closest neighbors in Downtown Poughkeepsie! Not only are we staying open late, we’ll have special guests in the shop. Browse our collection while listening to internationally recognized, award-winning harpist Elizabeth Ojeda-Petito (bio below) and enjoy free mini-tarot readings by Kim of the Green Kauldron!

There will also be live music and activities in Mural Square and free yoga in the courtyard at 6:30 and 8pm. (Mats provided.) Come out!

Elizabeth Ojeda-Petito is an internationally recognized, award-winning harpist. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, she earned advanced degrees in Harp Performance and Literature, and was awarded the institution’s prestigious Performer’s Certificate for “….outstanding performance ability”.

She made her Carnegie Hall debut at age 11, and has since performed extensively with ensembles and orchestras alike. A sought-after collaborator, she was recently featured in the world premiere of “Letters to Georgia” by Kevin Puts at Lincoln Center, performing alongside Grammy-award winning soprano Renée Fleming. Her recent work also extends to screen, with credits including “Star Trek: Discovery”.

Dr. Ojeda-Petito has held faculty and professorial appointments at the Eastman School of Music, Syracuse University, Roberts Wesleyan University, and Columbia University, where she earned her E.d.D. in music education.

Please join us in welcoming Spangler Forge to Curio Cabinet! Ben is a true blacksmith with over a decade of expierence. He combines traditional hand-forging techniques with modern metallurgy to create his unique blades.

In addition to Ben’s traditional pieces, we are honored to work with Spangler Forge to bring a very special design exclusively to our shop. These pieces feature a bone inlay taken from fragments of retired medical specimens that were beyond repair.

Each piece comes with a custom sheath with belt straps.
