Getting ready for the holidays and working on new merchandise. Like beautiful handspun (natural colors as well as hand dyed) yarns, hand knitted shawls, scarves, hats, mitts, hand knitted/felted ‘paca pouches’ for boys and girls; felted/knitted purses for adults; alpaca socks or needlefelted nativity scenes on beautiful wood “stables” and so much more! Keep your eyes pealed as I add more items as the days go by

After picking beans from my hail damaged plants (like shredded!) I was able to par boiled 3 1/4 #’s this morning!

So any of you fiber artist teach to preschoolers? I am a fiber artist and also teach a preschool program one day a week (homeschool arts school). these children are 3 - 7 yrs. I have introduced weaving but I would like to teach through the whole process from sheep to shawl so to speak, though I’m using alpaca because that is what I raised most recently!

What a week it has been...Thankful for rain and it looks like (and I’m praying for) more rain…Lots of spinning and so thankful for engineering, fix it type of grand boys who put my Traditional wheel down on the floor and fixed a very annoying squeak and ka-thunk it was making…this turquoise/teal merino from Living Felt is going to go with the grey alpaca/sari-silk blend from Falkor Ranch Alpaca’s. They were our alpaca mentors…

Been weaving for almost the first time in 30 years. I was gifted this Cricket and stand by a friend to get me back into weaving by encouraging me to share this skill with my preschool class at Let’s Wonder - Music and Art Homeschool enrichment class. Alpaca Warp and a painted weft from Spruce Dragon with added experiments! Feels good!

Spent a couple of hours in the garden this am as per normal…WEEDS are a never ending issue as is water! or the lack there-of! Were you able to find all the toads in my green house? Weaving on my gifted to me ridgid heddle loom (Cricket) and making a scarf with alpaca yarn I bought from a friend and Spruce Dragon hand dyed yarn... I’m pretty pleased since I haven’t really woven much in the past 30 years!

They are finished! Hats of my design. Hat on the left is burgundy washable wool…soft and stretchy. Hat on the right is white alpaca from my friends award winning alpaca “Mo” blended with a bit of aqua wool and Rowan Kidsilk. $47.00 each
