About us:
Monte Thames
"I've been building with wood since I was a kid. When I returned from Desert Storm, I went to NSU in Natchitoches, Louisiana where I found that college wasn't for me. I went to work for a builder where I spent five years doing historic restoration in Natchitoches and the surrounding plantation houses." "After gaining a family to support, I moved on to a different career path. I have found over the years, that building furniture is my passion, so I have decided to take my experience and passion and design my own furniture as well as help others design their own furniture." "I enjoy working with cypress, cedar, and treated pine to make pieces that can be enjoyed indoors or out. I will though, work with any wood I can get my hands on or build for someone with their favorite wood." LeAnn Thames
"I would have never dreamed I would own a custom wood furniture business or even refinish furniture for a living. It is very rewarding taking an ugly, broken piece and turning it into something beautiful and useful again.β
βAfter Monte's employer transferred us to Texas and leaving my banking job of twelve years in Louisiana, I decided to take some time off to be more available for my kids activities. This new business venture has been great for that."
βNow back in Louisiana, but still enjoying our freedom to work from home.β
"Monte and I love that we are able to display and sell our completed pieces in an awesome Antique Shop in Bossier City, Louisiana.β
