In memoriam of our dear friend and colleague, Miss Kaye Beaver (8/1943-8/2026.)

Kaye Beaver was small in stature, but huge in heart. She was energetic, full of life, funny - with an infectious laugh. She taught belly dancing, which she was happy to demonstrate at any given moment. She was gentle, generous and kind. A loving, proud mother and grandmother. Kaye was a book lover, educator, and a librarian for Roanoke City schools. She was a storyteller (could she EVER!) Kaye tirelessly volunteered for Local Colors, the Roanoke Symphony and others. She was an amazing salesman - she sold something any time she was in the store. Facing the end of her life, Kaye showed incredible courage and grit. A true friend since 1985, she will be missed by many. 🤍
