Cody Research Group and Friends

Cody group has won the Chemistry trophy again. The competition was fierce, but we still remain undefeated in tug-of-war.

The group decided to have t-shirts made this year and we are wearing them for the end of the academic year party. During the day we cleaned the labs and then presented our research accomplishments for the year. Everyone did a great job!

IF you have ordered a Cody Group T-Shirt please pay Lauren ASAP.

Yet again, I must ask people to observe basic lab courtesy. If the waste bottles are full, please remember to go to the stock room to request a new bottle, and have the pick up the full one. Also, I must again remind people to empty their rotovaps. Do not simply leave the collection flask full of blue liquid. And, even if you don't bump, remember to CLEAN OUT YOUR BUMP TRAP. Also, remember to fill teh acetone bottles when you empty them, and if the big bottles of reagents are almost empty, please remember to fill them as well.

Ok, once more, I must ask people to remember lab courtesy. If you notice that you have powered off someone's stir plate, please power it back on. Also, if waste beakers are full, and there is room in the larger waste container, please empty the beaker, do not just let it sit there. And, once again, EMPTY YOUR ROTOVAP COLLECTION FLASK. Thank you.

To everyone in the lab, please remember to empty the collection flask on the rotovaps, and do not simply leave empty acetone wash bottles next to the bottle of acetone, fill them and then put the bottle back in flammables cabinet B. thank you.
