WARNING - Godaddy was hacked in September and they made the announcement yesterday. Phishing attempts at stealing people's login information have already started going out. If you do any business with Godaddy, especially wordpress hosting, you need to change your password ASAP.

If you get an email supposedly from Godaddy security, DO NOT click on any of the links. Just go to Godaddy directly yourself and change your password. Those are phishing attempts to get you to log in to their site to give them your password.

At a networking group on Tuesday,I talked about securing your Google my Business listing. It is imperative that you pay attention to the email account your GMB listing is on. There has been a large increase in the number of people sending random listing ownership requests to businesses. Guess what happens if you don't reject that request within 7 days? Google unlocks your listing, and the attacker can then claim ownership, and you just lost your listing.

If you get an email on your gmail account that says someone is requesting ownership. here is all you need to do. Hit review request, and then REJECT it. If you do nothing, you lost your listing. If you have any questions, let me know.
