A little change of direction on the bathroom vanity. It’s going to get painted instead of stained. I spent the day today sanding everything and getting the first coat of primer on. After that I had just enough time to cut another name train today. Four more to go.

I had a lot of people asking about Penny last weekend when we were at Lake Lure. Well, here she is. She is doing fine. Her and Ellie are getting along now. Most of the time they chase each other from one end of the house to the other.

Well we are about recovered from an amazing weekend at lake lure. This was definitely one of the best events we have participated in. Thanks again to all those that stopped by and spoke with us. Today we set up our booth at Sweet Magnolias vendor market with the few pieces we had left. It will take me a few weeks to build some more pieces, but I’ll have a much better selection soon. I also got two of the orders from this weekend’s event built as well. I just need to put the finish on them. I have another 8 orders to get completed. I’m also finishing up the bathroom vanity project and the table base. My current plan is to get these both completed before starting another large project which will be the live edge bookcase and credenza, two album cabinets, a nightstand, and some custom built ins. It’s about to be busy in the shop!

Wow! What a great day at the lake! Thank you to everyone that came out today to support the local vendors. The crowd was one of the best I’ve ever seen at this event. People were wrapped around our booth all day long. It was great to see and hear from people that had bought toys in the past and how the kids still played with them. I’m excited to get back tomorrow and continue to meet some awesome people.

I’m continuing to mill up stock for the base of this live edge walnut table. The base will be made from cherry to match the chairs. So far out of the first timber I got the top and bottom pieces. Each is 4” wide and 3” thick. Should be plenty sturdy for this massive table. I also built the final door for the bathroom set I’m working on. This will go on a closet opening that has shelves. I also got the under mount drawer slides installed. Just need to build the four drawers and spray finish on this one.
