portal to my caning, mosaics, gardening, and general fun Soon, I placed ads and expanded my repertoire in the 90's eventually taking a parenthood hiatus.

I've been caning since the mid 80's when my grandfather got me started by passing on his original training brochure. ( Apparently, he became tired of me sitting there watching and asking more questions than he wanted to answer.) An old client then gave me a call to re cane a set of everyday chairs in 2012 which led to reconnecting with the joy I have with the craft.

Client last had four of these woven ten plus years ago in Mexico City. El tejador worked in her backyard for a week. Second look presented chairs with a press can groove chiseled out to the inside and then drilled and Closed End woven!?! This will be fun! Closed end not on the table for consideration. guess there was little caned sheeting available ??? @ Sacramento, California

Created "my own" caning pattern by pre-weaving additional strips of caning materials into a sheet of traditional woven sheets before pressing into this old, well worn seat into place! Stronger with a fun twist!
