Here is another beautiful pyramid we sent out recently. This one is Clear Alder, with our espresso stain on it. This color is a perfect fit for this awesome Blue Wildebeest that the team at Jeremy Judkins put together.

Here is another one we sent out recently. There is something way pretty about these pyramids. This one is Clear Alder, with our Espresso stain.

The team over at Jeremy Judkins absolutely knocked this one out of the park. This Cape Buffalo is a beast!

We just left The open house at Jeremy Judkins and wanted to post a few pictures of our pedestals with their completed mounts. These are truly some beautiful pieces.

Congrats, Jeremy! Your whole team did an awesome job getting your shop ready for this. Especially Holly & Marta!

SO STINKIN PRETTY!!!

We are huge fans of integrating animal hides in to our pedestals, especially Zebra. There is something about all of the colors playing off of each other that just makes our hearts happy.
This one is Clear Alder with our “espresso” wipe stain, and is going to have a beautiful Zebra on top of it.

I had a taxidermist to come in the shop today, and ask if we are still building pedestals… I suppose that’s what happens when you stop posting as frequently.

We are definitely still here, and definitely still cranking out some Beautiful stuff.

This particular one, headed out the door this morning, headed up to a customer in Montana. This is some tongue and groove pine, that I did a decent torching on. And of course, wrapped it with some beautiful reclaimed fence material.

If you were curious, running a propane blow torch on a 98° day, not the most fun thing to do. 😂🤣😂

I apologize for the crappy pix. I figured, “what better day to share these pix, than the 1 year anniversary of Ozzy’s passing”?

Back in May 1986, my brother Martin Turner & I got to go see Ozzy at The Salt Palace. He had some band called Metallica opening for him. I say it that way, cuz we had ZERO clue who they were prior to the show. Anyhow, my brother had a good 35mm camera and lens, and we were able to sneak it in. We were both blown away by this Metallica band, and became fans instantly.

This night changed me. Little fifth grader got to go to his first concert, and damn it was a doozy. Oh yeah, and we can say that we got to see Cliff Burton play live.

R.I.P. Ozzy… Thank you for the soundtrack to my life.

Here are three bases we got put together last week. Now we just need to find that Barnwood one under the last one!

All of these are Knotty Alder with our signature dark stain, and reclaimed lumber panels

Pickup day is ALWAYS better than drop off day! The guys out at absolutely killed it on this one for me. Jeremy had originally mounted the bottom buck for me back in 2009. While it looked pretty solid, but when I got the top buck in 2024, I had to get him re-done. .tait.9469 , you are a genius!!! Thank You!

Let’s chat about the less important part, this base! The body is made of Walnut veneer, with hardwood trim… Little bit of a black stain, and a flat finish. Oh, and that insanely pretty Barnwood inside.

When we build our pyramids, all of our uprights are cut from single pieces. Cut to length, rip in half, miter the two, glue them back together.
Is it necessary? Not at all. Does it make the wood need in me happy? Absolutely! Especially with woods that have really dynamic grains.

I was gifted some hickory years ago from a good friend of mine. When I’ve got some down time, I will probably turn it in to one of our open pedestals. With a natural finish, this will really pop!

We got these two pedestals done this week. Both are Knotty Alder… The Africa Cutout is pretty awesome! The open cabinet has a gray stain on it that will look really good with the customers Kudu on it. 😍
