Peel & Stick or The other Kind?

I love peel & stick because it’s thinner, the seams blend seamlessly & it’s easy to wipe down/keep clean.

I glue it down anyway because in my experience if not it has fallen off the wall.

Wallpaper Tips/Tricks/Things I’ve learned along the way PART 1:

1. No walls are even or level floor to floor or side to side. Doors and windows frames are also not level. Doesn’t matter how old or young your house is.

2. Big texture or uneven humps/flaws on walls will show through or have random bubbles that won’t lay down.

3. If you have a DARK paper, the seams will be a tad more visible than with lighter prints. This is because the back & sides of the paper are white. And I can probably see them more because I laid it. But it’s still gorgeous.

4. Busy Prints or repeat patterns hide flaws better than solid less busy prints

5. Etsy paper isn’t it. It lays like wet toilet paper. Don’t order it. Your installer is only as good as the paper & wall she is provided.

6. There’s lots of waste involved. Trust the site when it says to order 10-20% more (depending on the print you choose).

7. Sometimes there are bubbles the day of lay, but after glue dries they dry down. They just need time.

Another day. Another Great Wall of wallpaper done. And this client is NOT afraid to make her house her OWN. (I’ve done 4 walls in her house now).

I absolutely LOVE when people choose bold, bright, beautiful wallpaper. Not scared to make their house their home. Busted this bathroom out today. Can’t wait to see the new shower curtain and accessories that she ordered to tie it all together.
