I dont usually like to paint over inlaid pieces but the inlay on this piece was beyond restoring. I went for a stone look using lots of texture with a stipple technique. Painted in Annie Sloan’s Coco, sealed in black and clear wax and accented with a gold gilding wax. I always love how dark wax helps beautiful hidden details pop!
