Modern design in Dallas has come a long way, and so has our idea of luxury.

In the latest issue of Patron Magazine, Amanda and Jud Taylor talk about the evolution of modern design, the pieces that have stood the test of time, and why comfort, craftsmanship, and the way we actually live matter more than ever.

From iconic designs to the changing definition of luxury at home, there’s plenty to talk about.

Designed in 1976 by Shiro Kuramata, the Glass Table by GLAS ITALIA official page pairs clean lines with the beauty of glass.

Thick transparent glass legs are thermo-welded to a tempered glass top, creating an architectural form that feels both substantial and surprisingly light 🤌🏽

A striking presence made entirely of glass.

What was our vision for this room? To fill it with great people, memories, and curated pieces that tell a story.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at 3310 Fairmount Street P3B for the Turtle Creek Association Tour of Homes. Seeing guests enjoying the space and panoramic views was exactly what this penthouse was designed for.

Our furniture pieces proudly displayed demonstrate what true turn-key living looks like, complemented by the exquisite design details by Fairmount Design Studio and the outstanding craftsmanship and construction from Kitchen Design Concepts.

All proceeds benefited the nonprofit Turtle Creek Association.

Somewhere between understated and unforgettable.

Soft, rounded silhouettes from Saba Italia . The Vela sofa, Baby Geo armchair, and Teatro Magico tables each have a distinct personality, with curves, proportions, and textures that make this combination particularly good 🤌🏽

Our team is wearing purple today in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

It’s something that affects more people than we often realize, including people we know and love.

A small gesture, but an important reminder that no one should have to face it alone💜

A closer look at PLEAT, new from Stickbulb.

Made with salvaged wood from New York City and traditional Japanese Kozo paper, it’s a pretty interesting combination. The angled wood frames give it structure, while the folded paper softens the light. And since it’s modular, there’s plenty of room to play around with how it all comes together.

A little color update from Bocci. The 118 collection now comes in Grey, Green, and Bronze.

Hand-blown in Bocci’s Vancouver studio, each piece is made by pushing molten glass through a steel cage, creating delicate, feather-like details inside. The glass takes on a life of its own during the process, with each pendant developing its own unique pattern of folds, textures, and movement.

The new colors are available across the 118 pendant, surface, and portable lights.

expands the Me-Time system with new curved elements and a deeper chaise, pushing the collection further into softer, more open configurations.

The new additions shift the scale and flow of the system, creating arrangements that feel more natural and less defined by rigid structure.

The Teatro Magico low tables from move easily between interior and exterior settings, finished in glazed ceramic over stoneware.

The colors feel pulled from the landscape. Oxide reds, mineral greens, faded blues. Light catches the surface differently throughout the day, bringing out the texture and tonal variation that make each piece feel slightly atmospheric, even at rest.

’s 2026 collection keeps pushing the material side of the brand forward. More oak, more sculptural forms, and a stronger contrast between softness and structure.

Some of the strongest pieces this year come from the balance between precision and warmth. Solid wood, curved silhouettes, heavier textures, and details that bring more depth to the collection.

The new Khodi Feiz Beso Circulo chair for features a subtle cut-out and measured proportions.

Constructed from post-industrial recycled polypropylene and glass fiber. The shell is fully demountable for long-term serviceability. It adapts to architectural contexts with modular bases and integrated upholstery.

A quiet study in material responsibility and proportion, resolved without excess.

Viktor Soft by , designed by Draga & Aurel, revisits the original with a lighter hand.

The structure stays clean and low, but the cushions open up. More curve, more give, more emphasis on the leather and how it wears over time. The base still floats, which keeps the whole piece from feeling heavy, even as it gets softer.

Details do most of the work here. Slightly off stitching, a modular layout that can shift depending on the room, and a daybed that extends the system without changing its tone.

Like somebody poured a thunderstorm into glass ⚡️

There’s a split second where the glass is still moving and the aluminum hasn’t settled yet. The 93 from Bocci catches that exact moment and leaves it suspended inside the glass.

No two are exactly alike.

We keep coming back to Nami from Miniforms.

Maybe it’s the base. The bent wood has this soft curve that feels almost improvised, like somebody sketched it in the margin of a notebook and then figured out how to make it hold up a table.

Depending on the angle, it reads a little differently. More sculptural from one side, more graphic from another.

We’ve probably looked at the same photos ten times by now 🤷🏻‍♀️

was built around a simple shift. Time, written out instead of measured.

Founded in Germany, each piece uses a matrix of letters that changes every minute, turning time into language.

You read it instead of tracking it.
