🎷 The next generation of Bay Area jazz is here.

Middle and high school jazz ensembles from across the Bay came together at San José State University for the San Jose Jazz Youth Festival: a day of music, learning, and collaboration. 🎶

✨ Performances with personalized feedback
✨ Clinics led by professional educators
✨ A guest set from Grammy-winning saxophonist Alex Hahn with the SJSU Jazz Orchestra
✨ A Youth Jazz Jam to close out the day 🔥

No trophies, no pressure. Just young musicians growing, building confidence, and kicking off their school year the right way. 🙌

Thank you to every student, director, and educator who made our inaugural year one to remember! 💙

This Saturday, we’re bringing you something special! 🎷

Bebop, rumba, bossa nova, and hip-hop all flow through the music of Brooklyn’s Kazemde George. Drawing from across the African diaspora and pushing jazz to new limits, his sound promises a night that will knock your socks off.

Fresh off his latest release, Ocean Passage, Kazemde brings deep grooves, bold ideas, and plenty of soul. You won’t want to miss it.
