Not every tub needs to be reglazed.

Instead of recommending a more expensive service, we performed a deep chemical cleaning, and the results speak for themselves.

Sometimes the right solution isn’t the biggest one—it’s the honest one.

At Refinishing of Oklahoma, we’ll always recommend what’s best for your tub and your budget. If your tub truly needs refinishing, we’ll let you know. But if a professional restoration cleaning is all it needs, we’ll tell you that too.

If you’re wondering whether your tub can be brought back to life without refinishing, send us a few photos. We’d be happy to give you our honest opinion.

💰 Why replace an entire tub or shower when you don’t have to?

Every dollar you save on a renovation is a dollar that stays in your pocket.

This shower had a plumbing repair that required opening the wall behind the valve. Instead of tearing out the entire fiberglass surround and starting over, we professionally repaired the access opening, refinished the surface, and blended everything back together.

The result?
✅ No expensive demolition
✅ No hunting for a matching replacement
✅ No days or weeks waiting on a new surround
✅ A clean, finished appearance that’s ready for the next tenant or buyer

For investors, time is money. Keeping projects moving while avoiding unnecessary replacement costs can make a big difference to your bottom line.

If your rental, flip, or rehab has:
✔ Plumbing access cuts
✔ Cracks or chips
✔ Stains or worn finishes
✔ Damaged fiberglass tubs or showers

There’s a good chance it can be repaired instead of replaced.

🔨 New Construction Tub Chip Repair

You’d be surprised how often this happens in brand-new homes. During construction, a dropped tool, tile, or fixture can leave a chip in a newly installed bathtub before the homeowner ever gets to use it.

The good news? A damaged tub doesn’t always need to be replaced.

In this recent repair, we professionally restored a chip in a brand-new tub, blending the repair into the existing finish and saving the builder from the expense and hassle of a full replacement.

✅ Color-matched repairs
✅ Fiberglass, acrylic, and porcelain tubs
✅ Fast turnaround to keep projects on schedule
✅ A fraction of the cost of replacement

Whether it’s a new build, remodel, or accidental damage, Refinishing of Oklahoma can help restore your tub and keep your project moving forward.

There’s damage… and then there’s disappearing damage.

This fiberglass tub had a hole straight through the side — something most people assume means full replacement. Instead, we rebuilt the structure, reinforced the damaged area, and refinished the surface to factory appearance.

No seams. No patches. No “good enough.”

Just a solid, watertight repair that blends in like it never happened.

If your tub, shower, or surround is cracked, chipped, or even punctured, replacement isn’t your only option. The right repair restores both strength and appearance — without the cost and mess of tearing everything out.

Message us if you’ve got something similar. Chances are, it can be brought back to life.

This customer was quoted $20,000 to replace her bathtub. 😳

The tub was in rough shape and had what we call a “birdbath”—a low spot where water pools, leading to rust and corrosion over time.

Instead of tearing everything out, we repaired the birdbath and reglazed the tub, restoring it to like-new condition for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

Sometimes repair beats replacement—big time!

Before & After Transformation 🛁

This before photo shows several layers of failed coatings.
The after photo? Fully stripped and professionally polished.

Not every bathtub needs to be refinished. In many cases, a professional chemical cleaning can restore the surface and save you time and money.

Before you call a jack-of-all-trades to refinish your tub, call a specialist to see if cleaning is the better option.

I had a customer call me from Buffalo. I was pretty happy thinking New York, but apparently there’s a Buffalo Oklahoma. They had a washbasin sink from a 1920’s house, one of the only things in the house they really wanted to keep. She also wanted to know if I could make a few of the holes disappear. I will post the finished product video in the comments. They won’t be picking it up for a few more days, but I’m pretty excited for them to see the finished product.
