Founded in 2012 as a residential interior design studio, the Sanford-based company has evolved into a multi-faceted lifestyle brand that is leading the interior design conversation with experience in residential, hospitality, and commercial markets. On a mission to making beautiful design accessible to all, no matter the budget, the ACI studio offers full service interior design, as well as new construction and remodel design. From an awkward corner to one of my favorite little moments in this home. 🤍

SWIPE to see where we started! ➡️

When we first walked into this space, we saw an opportunity. The corner windows were beautiful, but the layout presented a challenge: how do we create a functional breakfast nook without interrupting the accessible pathway through the home?

The answer wasn’t a traditional table and four chairs.

We designed a custom upholstered banquette to tuck seating neatly beneath the windows and paired it with a gorgeous marble pedestal table, allowing the dining area to feel intentional without overwhelming the footprint.

We also introduced bold black window trim, updated lighting, and layered details to give this once-forgotten corner its own personality.

This is what I love about interior design. It’s not always about adding more. Sometimes it’s about finding a smarter way to use what you already have.

And now? This little corner has become quite the statement. ✨

And somewhere between the drawings, demolition, framing, and finishing touches, there are hundreds of decisions that can either elevate a project 👏🏼 or compromise the original vision.

One home. Nine spaces. Hundreds of decisions. One design story.

Material selection days are where the vision starts getting very real.

For this new construction home, we spent the day selecting the materials for the kitchen, laundry room, pantry and six bathrooms. Each space with its own personality, but all speaking the same design language.

We know a beautifully designed home isn’t about making every room match. It’s about creating a rhythm from one space to the next. A finish repeats here. A tone carries through there. Something unexpected gets its moment without competing with everything around it.

This is the part of design that looks like pretty samples on a table 🫰🏼 but behind every selection is a decision about scale, function, installation, longevity and how the entire home will ultimately feel.

Not matching. Not repetitive. Connected.

And now… we get to watch it all come to life. ✨

Sure, they’re pretty, but this is really where the conversation gets good.

Tile, stone, cabinetry, hardware, paint, textiles… all thoughtfully sourced, edited, and layered together so you can see the whole story before making a decision.

We think there’s something pretty chic about having someone source for you, narrow down the endless options, and lay the best of the best right in front of you.

The flat lay may only be the beginning, but it’s the meat of the conversation🫰🏼the moment we can compare, edit, swap, layer and make confident decisions together.

Less running around. Less second-guessing. More “YES, that’s it.”

And ideally? Decisions are made, samples are packed up, and you’re home in time for dinner. 🍸

Full-service interior design means you don’t have to become the project manager of your own remodel. 👏🏼

We don’t just create the design… We show up through every phase to make sure the details we designed actually come to life the way they’re supposed to.

That means coordinating with trades, ordering and tracking materials, answering questions in the field, checking installations, catching discrepancies early and solving the little things that inevitably come up during construction.

And trust me, things come up.

The difference is, with the right team in place, many of them are handled before they ever become your problem.

Our job is to protect the design, keep decisions moving, minimize disruptions and help prevent small issues from becoming expensive ones later.
