I have always been fascinated by nature’s process of aging. A log lying in a sun licked spot in the woods; a battered, woodworm-eaten piece of an old dock or ship on a beach; the worn, ridged, silvered or blued look of aged outdoor furniture.
Living in a Gulf Coast community, with thriving boating community, we were brought in touch with a certain kind of natural aging and deterioration,of wood in contact with salt water, the seashore itself, and sea creatures. Being right on the water, I Am constantly finding wooden pieces floating,or beached, in the form of pieces of lumber from which docks and piers were built, or wood from wrecked boats, and even lawn furniture,and fencing.
The wood I have found had most often been in the Gulf waters for years. It was extensively weathered and worn by the action of waves and the rocks and sand of the shoreline it washed up against. Nature has “sculpted” these pieces of wood into fascinatingly beautiful shapes, often wearing away softer parts of the wood while the harder-grained portions survived.
A storm driven dock and a creative eye on a beach with shells led to the ability to construct sustainable furniture from the salvaged wood I have found, and that’s how my Furniture was created.

I am very excited about this piece, which honors my late son Cody. His curiosity and interest in father-son projects often had him under my feet and created memories I will cherish forever. Together we created small tables using well-worn wood scraps we picked out together. It comforts me when I reminisce and realize our time spent together impacted him so much. This was proven when his only Christmas wish for years was for a hammer, box of nails, and a piece of wood. This piece represents the love and bond we shared. These start at 75.00 up to 200.00 in price.The 75.00 Cody Table has not angle cuts and is newer appearing wood.

Pricing begins at $800 and allows you to purchase an artistic piece of Gulf Coast history for your home or patio. These table and bench sets are custom created by the artist out of local dockwood and range in size from 6-8 feet in length based upon your desire. Most are left sealed natural wood, but clear coat (like in image) may be added upon demand.
No two tables are alike. Each one is it's own unique work of art based upon the design of the table and wearing of the wood.
