Ship.Cars Improving auto transport with AI technology, driving growth for our shippers and valued car haulers.

10/07/2026

This , we’re sharing how Ship.Cars protects shippers and carriers from cargo theft and unauthorized account access.

Security isn’t a one-time check at onboarding—it requires continuous detection. Here is how our 4-step framework protects your business before a vehicle ever leaves the lot:

1. Monitor changing behavior: tracks risk factors like route deviations, early cancellations, and spikes in high-value load interest.
2. Identify elevated risk: combines signals into a weighted safety score to surface account compromise patterns.
3. Protect the response window: automatically restricts load board activity, places accounts under review, and alerts shippers.
4. Investigate and resolve: our team investigates while shippers review the risk and decide how to proceed.

Fast precautionary action. Human review. Continuous protection.🛡️

Today, we celebrate the dedicated car haulers keeping America’s auto transport supply chain moving forward every single day.

To back you up on every mile, we developed our SmartHaul TMS, giving carriers the tools to run leaner, faster, and smarter:

• Trip Builder: Automatically looks for loads to fill empty spots.
• Load Scout: Alerts you of new loads based on your preferences.
• ePOD: Improves workflow from dispatcher to driver.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication on the road!

For carriers, tracking down unpaid invoices is one of the most frustrating parts of the job. But before assuming a payment is late, it helps to understand how carrier payment timelines actually work.

In our latest blog post by Ivanka Timova, we discuss:

• The real timeline: What actually triggers the start of payment terms
• How business days, weekends, and daily submission cutoffs impact your expected payout date
• "Payment Sent" vs. "Funds Available"—understanding the stages of processing
• Common administrative roadblocks that pause payment without you knowing
• A practical framework for identifying the exact status of your payment

Knowing how to pinpoint where your invoice sits in the pipeline helps you ask accounting the right questions and eliminate endless back-and-forth.

In 2025, off-lease vehicle volume was exceptionally thin. Why? The roots go back to 2022, when chip shortages and pandemic-era pricing sent new leases plummeting.

Now, the math is shifting.

Thanks to a leasing recovery in 2023 and 2024, a massive wave of contracts is reaching maturity. Off-lease returns are projected to jump from 1.9 million in 2025 to 2.4 million in 2026, climbing even higher to 2.8 million in 2027.

Every returned vehicle triggers a multi-step transport cycle—moving from grounding dealers to inspection sites, auctions, reconditioning facilities, and final buyers.

For brokers and carriers, this represents a massive near-term demand window. But with an increased mix of heavy EVs hitting the lanes, trailer capacity and per-unit logistics are going to get complicated.

For decades, auto hauling ran on instincts, spreadsheets, and memory. If everything went right, it was often more about luck than logic.

That era is officially over.

In this AutoSuccess Magazine article, Vlad Kadurin, Chief Product and Operations Officer at Ship.Cars breaks down how AI and Transport Management Systems (TMS) are completely erasing the tech gap between large carriers and smaller owner-operator shops. Today, a competitive edge isn't about your budget—it's about your mindset.

Here are 5 ways predictive analytics are transforming automotive logistics right now:

• Dynamic pricing: Eliminates back-and-forth phone calls by instantly calculating real-time rates based on fuel, lanes, and seasonality.
• Fraud prevention: Flags behavioral anomalies, ghost carriers, and high-risk routes before a valuable load ever leaves the lot.
• Fewer dead miles: Predicts where capacity will be tight so carriers can lock in profitable backhauls instead of moving empty.
• Optimized load bundling: Calculates the perfect delivery sequence so drivers spend less time shuffling cars on the trailer and more time driving.
• Shorter ETA windows: Uses weather, traffic, and lane data to replace vague delivery windows with more accurate arrival times.

"AI isn’t replacing managers or drivers; it’s replacing the waste in their day."

During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we celebrate the 3.5+ million professional men and women who keep our country moving forward.

Behind every stocked shelf, vehicle delivery, and package on your front porch is a truck driver who put in the long hours, navigated tough weather, and sacrificed time away from family to get the job done.

Thank you for your dedication and keeping the supply chain strong.

When it comes to auto transport, a signature on a Bill of Lading (BOL) isn't always enough to protect your payout.

For carriers operating on tight margins, a $150 disputed scratch or a delayed COD payment can quickly eat away at annual profits. When damage claims or payment holds happen, a signed BOL only protects you if the documentation behind it tells a clear, indisputable story.

Our latest article breaks down:

• Why proof of delivery isn't the same as proof of condition
• Common inspection mistakes (how angle mismatches cost carriers money)
• What a reliable delivery record should include

When the auto transport industry broadly adopted 2FA, it was the right response at the time. But the threat didn't stop—it evolved.

Today's bad actors aren't just creating fake carrier companies. They’re buying real login credentials and compromising legitimate accounts with years of clean history. When a carrier looks 100% real on paper, those standard, point-in-time checks can’t protect you.

To stay ahead, the industry must shift from static verification to continuous behavioral monitoring—tracking how carriers behave, not just who they claim to be.

Our latest article breaks down:

• How identity theft became the new fraud pattern
• The limitations of point-in-time checks at booking
• Why continuous behavioral monitoring is the new standard

What’s really driving auto transport rates right now? While diesel prices have dropped, elevated operational costs are creating a firm floor for shipping rates across the industry.

Here's what’s happening in today's market:

• Inventory-to-sales ratios have climbed to 1.45 months, keeping transport demand steady through replenishment and dealer trades.
• Carriers are being highly selective, prioritizing predictable, high-volume routes.
• Challenging or rural lanes remain tight and price-sensitive.

As our Chief Product Officer, Vladimir Kadurin, put it: "The current market is being driven by structural carrier costs and inventory management rather than consumers rushing to lots. Because the baseline cost of running a truck remains elevated, carriers are being highly selective. They’re gravitating toward predictable, high-volume routes, which means that even though industry capacity is healthy on paper, difficult or rural lanes remain tight and price sensitive."
