It's always fun to take on a project with a story, especially ones with strong family ties.

Asked to repurpose the top of an old coffee table their grandfather had built in the early 60's into a breakfast table. We drew inspiration from the great furniture makers of the time. Extremely happy with how it turned out.

Such a wonderful night at the North River Arts Society members show. So much amazing art throughout the gallery.
Feel absolutely blessed to have picked up an award for my peice "classical form" in such a crowded field of beautiful art.

I have been playing around with this concept for the better part of a year and could not be happier in how it came together. From the use of the ribbon stripe Sapele, it's clean simple form against the classical fluted base, this one's a show stopper.

Loving the process of watching these pieces evolve! Starting with exposing the beautiful natural grain and figuring, we can start laying everything out to best showcase what each piece has to offer. This is always one of my favorite parts of the process.

Now that the slabs are flattened, forms are in place, epoxy is poured, everything gets flattened again. Now it’s time to fit these pieces together to start the final shaping. Really excited to see this one come together!

Always exciting when a project starts to reveal itself.

With the slabs stabilized and the layout worked out, we can start bringing these pieces together. Next up is flattening and finally getting a look at all that beautiful grain hiding just below the surface.

We’ll be sharing more of the process as this one comes to life. Stay tuned!
