You can save yourself money by having your chairs restored rather than refinished. We have developed a process where we work with the existing finish to repair blemishes instead of stripping off the old finish. Please see the before and after photos below.

The Furniture Doctors LLC We are The Furniture Doctors LLC, the husband and wife team of Gerry Altman and Sandi Lampella. In February 2010 we relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona from Portland, Oregon, where we owned and operated Gerry’s Custom Refinishing for 23 years.

Gerry and I are selling our personal 4-piece antique solid cherry East Lake bedroom set, circa 1860's. We have owned this set for 37 years and it has been lovingly cared for. Gerry refinished it 37 years ago and the finish is still in excellent condition. The set includes: queen bed and mattress (converted from a 3/4 double), dresser with mirror, wash stand, and night stand. All hardware is original as far as we can tell. The bed was converted from a 3/4 double to a queen, extending the side rails. Original side rails have been saved and are part of this sale. The mattress is a Simmons Beautyrest, Compton Plush. It is 6 years old and has only been slept on for about 30 days as it was in our guest room. All this for $3500! If you know anyone who is interested in owning this beautiful set that has lasted over 150 years, please email us at [email protected]. If well cared for, the set will last for another 150 years or longer.
