Our Exterus designers regularly attend in-person and virtual training sessions from our most-chosen manufacturers so that we can provide the best solutions possible.

Earlier this month, our Senior Designer Susie popped over to Chicago to attend a multi-day Teknion training. Here's a selection of a few shots of the incredible Teknion showroom she brought back to show the team!

Welcome to the team, Jimmy! Jimmy recently relocated from New Jersey to join us as an Account Executive, bringing over 30 years of construction industry experience. Having spent 20 years in New York City helping clients solve complex storage and casegoods needs, he now draws on that broad experience to provide contract furniture solutions for clients across New England.

Jimmy served six years in the Navy as an electronics technician and Rescue Swimmer before completing his degree at Rutgers University. Outside the office, he and his wife, Julie, are busy exploring all the natural beauty Maine has to offer.

We’re thrilled to have his expertise and perspective on board!

Manufacturer Spotlight: Humanscale

Creating high-performance commercial environments means partnering with manufacturers who reject the compromise between ergonomics, aesthetics, and sustainability. This is why we frequently turn to Humanscale to outfit workspaces driven by these objectives.

Ready to integrate these solutions into your next project? Reach out to the Exterus design team today to explore samples and configurations.

At Exterus, we firmly believe the people are the process. Great commercial design goes beyond product specs and floor plans—it relies on a dedicated, client-centered team that listens, adapts, and collaborates at every step.

Shoutout to our amazing team that makes it all happen!

When we teamed up with UFirst Credit Union to design their new location in Plattsburgh, their goal was to find a distinct look that stepped away from the typical credit union setup.

Through touring both our Vermont showroom and Teknion’s showroom in Montreal, we were able to explore different styles, evaluate real-world office configurations, and pinpoint an approach that aligned with their vision. Experiencing those environments firsthand gave the UFirst team total confidence in their selections. Thanks for your trust!

Swipe to take a tour of the Plattsburgh space! 📸

Legal environments are experiencing a fundamental shift in how space, technology, and culture intersect.

Our manufacturing partner Teknion recently put together a fantastic walkthrough video of a conceptual modern law firm, showcasing how thoughtful commercial design answers today's biggest workplace demands.

Our team recently stepped away from our desks to celebrate this beautiful summer together at Starr Farm Beach in Burlington, Vermont! We spent the day enjoying beautiful lakeside views, games, and delicious pizza and ice cream from Tim's other local spots, Pizza 44 and The Scoop, with a boat ride to cap off the afternoon. 🍕🍦🚤

Danny's chocolate lab spent so much time swimming in the lake, a few of us thought we caught a rare sighting of Champ! 😉
