Old farmhouse bathrooms rarely give you perfectly straight, flat walls to work with.
Sometimes the right way to get a clean finished product is to float the walls, correcting the dips, waves, and uneven framing before the finish work ever starts.
A good tile or painted finish starts long before the final surface goes on.

Not every bathroom has to be over-the-top to show good craftsmanship.
On this one, the details are what I like most — flat walls, consistent grout joints, clean cuts, even reveals, and everything lining up the way it should. Those little things are what make the finished shower feel right when you walk into the room.

A look inside the Rentz Remodeling shop.

This custom-built miter station gives us the workspace, storage and accuracy needed for everything from finish carpentry and trim to custom cabinetry and built-ins.

Having our own fully equipped shop means we're able to build and finish custom pieces in-house instead of being limited to what's available off the shelf.

We gave this bedroom a fresh repaint and added a floral wallpaper accent wall to create a completely different look without changing the entire space. A relatively simple update with a big visual impact.

Sometimes the biggest improvement isn’t just what you add—it’s what you open up.
On this Rochester remodel, we enlarged the existing window opening to bring in more natural light and take advantage of the backyard view. A relatively simple design change that completely changed the feel of the room.
