These handmade holiday serving boards are a great gift to your favorite host or to yourself! When not being used to serve you can display them on their stand as a beautiful addition to your decor. The Christmas Tree board is made with walnut and maple and is 17”x16” at its widest points. The pumpkin board is in cherry hardwood and is 15.5”x13” at its widest points. Each board with included stand is $125.
I will be making a limited number of these this year, so let me know if you would like to reserve one.

Our home originally had a basic flat builder’s-grade white fireplace surround with a narrow mantel shelf (see the second photo.) The first photo shows the new white oak surround I made to replace the original. It features highly figured quartersawn white oak from Rockler Woodworking & Hardware in Greenville and an 11” wide mantel shelf with plenty of room for Mrs Joe Jackson to decorate. Patsy also requested a floral appliqué as seen in the center panel. Osborne Wood Products provided a beautifully carved and detailed oak piece that easily glued to my panel and blends right into my work.

Awesome students made some beautiful coffee scoops in our introductory lathe class today at Rockler Woodworking & Hardware in Greenville SC. Except for one student who had once used a lathe in high school 40 years ago, none of today’s folks had ever turned before. One opted for a simple design that showed off the cool wood grain, and the others went for designs featuring beads and coves. Come have fun and learn a new skill at the Greenville Rockler

Like every other good idea I have these holiday-themed charcuterie boards were actually Patsy’s idea. After making one and getting her approval, I made this set as presents for our family. These are walnut and maple, about 16-18” at their widest points.

The black dye has dried and it’s time to part the finial off the blank, then test fit in the ornament globe. The globe will also get a top cap dyed to match the finial.

Working on a set of ornaments in maple burl. The finials are turned in plain maple dyed black. Once the dye dries the finial will be cut off the blank to which it’s still attached here, then glued into the ornament globe. The globes are hollowed to make them lightweight so they don’t bend the branch when hung on the tree. Each globe will also be topped with a cap dyed to match the finial.
