✨ Restoring More Than Furniture — Preserving Memories ✨

Some pieces are worth saving not just because of their craftsmanship, but because of the memories they hold. ❤️

This beautiful wooden pool cue holder and pool ball holder had been through a flood, leaving them in need of some serious TLC. But these pieces held special sentimental meaning to my client, and replacing them simply wasn’t an option.

The goal was to bring them back to life while preserving the character and craftsmanship that made them special in the first place.

The restoration process included:

🪵 Extensive cleaning to address the effects of the flood.

🪵 Sanding both pieces back to raw wood to remove the damaged finish.

🪵 Making necessary repairs to restore their condition.

🪵 Applying fresh stain to enhance the beautiful natural wood grain.

🪵 Sealing everything with General Finishes High Performance Polyurethane in a satin finish for lasting protection and durability.

The result is a beautifully restored set, ready to be displayed and enjoyed for many more years.

Projects like this are especially rewarding. There is something wonderful about taking pieces that have been through so much and giving them a second chance—especially when they mean so much to the people who own them.

Thank you to my client Craig for trusting me with these sentimental treasures! ❤️

Closing One Shop Door… and Opening a Bigger One!

Well, things change! I’ve downsized from my home to an apartment, which presented one tiny problem… my furniture refinishing shop apparently didn’t get the downsizing memo. 😂

This empty space is my old home shop, and it’s a little bittersweet seeing it like this. So many pieces came through these doors—some beautiful, some needing a little love, and some that definitely made me question my life choices halfway through. 😂 There were countless hours of sanding, painting, staining, spraying, creating…and probably enough sawdust to fill another garage.

It was a great run, and this little shop helped turn a love of bringing old furniture back to life into Enriched Heirlooms by Lynn. ❤️

But now it’s time for the next chapter!

I’m moving the shop to a BIGGER space in Dell Rapids—and as an added bonus, I’ll be much closer to The Local, making it even easier to keep them stocked with beautiful, one-of-a-kind furniture.

So goodbye, old shop. ❤️ You were very good to me.

Next stop: Dell Rapids!
More space + more furniture = I’m not entirely sure this qualifies as downsizing. 😂

Stay tuned… I can’t wait to show you the new shop!
