As a Deer Tracker it’s not all about me and my Team, it’s not about posting pictures, sometimes we don’t find the deer, that’s ok. It’s about helping Hunters in any way we can to find there Deer. Last night receive a call from a local first year Hunter, tell him to send pics of arrow and blood. I quickly determine dead deer and I want this first year Hunter to find this deer, himself. I spent time educating him on exactly what to do and how to do it. I told him if your not able to find him, we will come out, and I’ll put the dogs down. It’s important to teach a new Hunter how to track, the right way. I set the expectation on how far they will go to find the deer. Track slow steady and quiet…I get a call 1-1/2 hour later he found it, his words: “Exactly where you said it would be.” I’m on cloud nine, that he was able to track and find his first deer, ever…He was still shaking and excited.. An hour later he calls again, he’s never gutted a deer and the guy that was going to show him, is not available. I told him, I’ll suit up and be there in a few minutes. I show up and I can’t help but be excited for this young man. I walk him thru the entire process, Louie you did a great job gutting your first deer. As Trackers as Hunters it’s about taking the time and helping others when they need us. Lest us not forget someone took the time with us, they invested time in us. For me it was my Father and Friends❤️. I will not forget how helping you last night made me feel, it was my pleasure to help and support you last night. Thanks for Trusting Hit-Em-Back Tracking and the opportunity to help a New Hunter to the Sport of Hunting, and wanting to do it the right way.
I gave Louie a quick Deer Heart recipe to enjoy, it is super delicious, that’s why he’s holding it.
