When an area rug needs cleaning, grabbing the strongest cleaner you have may not be the best solution.

Different rugs can have different fibers, dyes, construction methods, and cleaning requirements. Using the wrong product or technique could result in unwanted damage.

Before attempting a major cleaning, consider having your rug professionally evaluated.

Furniture placement and repeated foot traffic can cause certain areas of a rug to experience more wear than others. Rotating the rug can help distribute everyday traffic more evenly.

It's a small step that can be part of a bigger rug-care routine.

Halloween parties, candy, snacks, and drinks can make October entertaining...and occasionally messy!

If something spills on your area rug, don't panic. Start by addressing the spill as soon as possible and avoid aggressive scrubbing that could damage the fibers.
