So happy this antique pie safe has gone to the home it has waited a couple years for! Enjoy Erin! ❤️

I cannot believe I am finally ready to part with this antique punched tin pie safe. I have been storing it for years hoping to find the right spot in our house but I just don’t have it. 😩

Hard to fathom next weekend we will be turning our clocks back! 🕰️

Today, I added some new goods to my spaces at Hometown. A refinished & reupholstered French country chair, a refinished antique mirrored cabinet door w/ hangers, a refinished super sweet antique vanity/desk/table, an oil painting and more have been added!

Does anyone have fun weekend plans?

Ever wonder what “CBM” in my business name CBM Mercantile stands for? CBM is an acronym for “Creating a Beautiful Mess”.

This photo is a pretty good example of how I arrived at that name. 😂. The journey of creating something beautiful is often a messy one but so rewarding.

Edit: EXCEPT yesterday when I kicked an OPEN can of paint. Not sure which I was more upset about, the mess or losing 1/2 can of expensive paint! 🙄😩😏

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on this chair. I went with your suggestion to paint the wood black to coordinate beautifully with the upholstery fabric I chose.

Currently available at our home in S**o until I restock at Hometown this week.

Price: $124

Happy weekend!

Seat has been reupholstered with one of my favorite prints. Now, do I keep the original stain on the left or paint the wood black? 🤔

This chair has great bones. I saw the potential beneath 2 layers of fabric and 3,000 staples. (the lighter color was the original fabric)

Stay tuned for a French country makeover!
