Also...
Pocket door rehab.
New stiles, new/different glass, altered the way the glass sits/fits, & got 1 coat of paint on 1 door... before I left.
(What's the hairy dead animal? Oakum.)
I'll have B&A photos of this in the future.

More in-progress projects.
Yet another item begun before I left for the current project. A slightly neglected attic window in worse shape than I thought. Going to remake muntins, half circle block, & arc ends.
But no glass broke. Yay.

Hardware helper.
Nearly-100%-clean stages.
The porch window latch came to a gunmetal grey that those homeowners liked.
The window hardware had a few metal tones. That owner went with all antique copper tone (+ clear lacquer finish). This hardware is inside & will be untouched/window unused. She's really into copper! I liked offering color suggestions.

Other porch work:
Replaced rotten & mismatched trim on screens, did dutchman repairs on screen frames. Forgot final photos -- what else could you expect?!

A window got new glass, better than the jagged broken stuff they were living with.
Another window got a new drip ledge. Actually, 2 did, & 1 got a new stop, all made to match the originals. Again, dearth of photos!

Sometimes it's more important to get someone's house parts back in place than to take photos! Sacrifice.

Column problumns.
Some in-progress photos. I buttoned this up a little more than shown, as I forgot to take those last photos before leaving for the current scheduled project. Got the important stuff done before the cold could get in. I'll finish this & have final photos soon enough!

It has begun.
1 crazy window back in place. The lower requires some new wood under it first. Like 2" thick wood. A bit of a delay on that.
At least the evening view was nice.
1890s subfloor around 7 or 8 inches wide. (Their floors are being redone.)

*BUY ME * SAVE ME*
I was in Mount Tabor, an old Methodist camp meeting town, here in NJ. This house is vacant and on the market. North Place & Park. I'm not saying it's a Cheap Old House, & repairs will cost, but you can't find Victorian charm like this unless you're in Cape May. Such an incredibly unique house. Lots of cute, colorful, individually styled homes here, in a hilly, highly historic town, this being one of the larger properties. Has a quirky puddingstone wall. Great restoration/preservation opportunity. Top of the hill, commanding view, large lawn, in a reportedly very nice community. Walking paths. Historical society. Close to major commuter highways. I don't know any of the property details. You'll have to find out yourself!

Freed & rehung sash on nice new chain.
A crazy sill got patched for now. Linseed oil treatment & linseed oil putty fill.
Another sash had a little bump, which turned out to be a pretty little number tag.

Basement Casement.
No more light lime green & chewed muntins.
The additional detail on the latches caught my eye; they're spectacular little pieces of hardware.
The exterior sash is work for a later date.
