Building Florida’s Future Workforce—Starting with Safety
Yesterday, the Florida Chamber Safety Council was proud to participate at the Florida Transportation Builders Association’s Tampa Bay Construction Career Day, engaging directly with the next generation of Florida’s workforce.
A highlight of the day—Jason Mozo, J.D. , SVP of the Florida Chamber Safety Council led hands-on learning labs on Permit-Required Confined Space Entry, one of the most essential safety areas in the construction industry.
Through real-world scenarios, students gained practical exposure to what workplace safety looks like in action—and why it matters.
This is how we move Florida forward:
• Early exposure to career opportunities
• Hands-on, industry-led training
• A stronger, safety-focused workforce
As our state continues to grow, investing in workforce readiness and safety remains essential.
If your organization is focused on strengthening workplace safety and developing talent, we invite you to connect with us.
Together, we can make Florida the safest state in America.
