New year, new mindset. The biggest trend we’re seeing for 2026 is not one trend at all. It’s homeowners choosing what makes them happy.
Here’s what’s showing up most in our showrooms across flooring, tile, countertops, carpet, and cabinetry. What’s new for 2026 vs what’s rolling over from last year:
New for 2026 (picking up speed right now):
• Matte, low-sheen finishes for a more natural look
• Slab backsplash looks for that seamless, custom feel
• Elevated carpet texture for cozy bedrooms and stairs
• Warm, modern checkered tile (not high-contrast black and white)
• Brighter, bolder tile colors and patterns for statement spaces
• Cabinetry that’s personal, not picked for resale
Rollover from last year (still going strong):
• Warm wood tones replacing cool gray
• Wood cabinetry, especially white oak
• Zellige on walls everywhere
• Large-format tile like 24x48 for fewer grout lines and a cleaner finish
