The next chapter of Vitt’s Mill begins! ❤️

Last week, we shared the incredible transformation of the historic Vitt’s Mill and the journey to bring this piece of Union’s history back to life.

But restoring this building was never meant to be the end of its story.

We wanted to see its doors open again. To see people gathering inside. To see new memories being made within walls that have already witnessed so much history.

Today, we’re excited to introduce Events at Vitt's Mill!

A beautifully restored event venue where celebrations, gatherings, and special moments will become part of this historic building’s story.

We’re so proud of what this space has become and even more excited to see our community enjoying it for generations to come.

And while this new chapter is just beginning, there’s still more of this journey to share. Stay tuned!

➡️ Follow Events at Vitt's Mill on Facebook for a closer look inside, upcoming announcements, and information about hosting your own special event.

In May of 2023, we looked at the oldest building in Union, a building that was close to being condemned, and asked ourselves, "How can we save it?"

We purchased the historic Vitt's Mill, along with the Crystal Ice & Fuel building, with hopes of preserving an important piece of Downtown Union's history and bringing new life to these forgotten spaces.

We didn't know exactly where this journey would lead us, but we knew we wanted to save the history within these walls and create something our community could enjoy for generations to come.

Over the past few years, our team has poured their hearts and souls into this project. We are incredibly proud of what they've accomplished and grateful for the community's support and interest along the way. We're also especially thankful for the many locally owned businesses and skilled craftsmen who helped bring this vision to life.

While the restoration of Vitt's Mill is almost complete, its story is far from over. In the coming days, we'll be sharing our vision for the future of this historic building and how our community will once again be able to enjoy it.

For more than 115 years, Union Furniture & Flooring has been a family-owned business rooted in this community. We remain committed to our town, preserving its history, and supporting our customers and staff for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. There's still more to the story, and we can't wait to share what we've rediscovered along the way!

As always, thank you for shopping local and supporting family-owned businesses!
