Sarah Bridges Chair Caning & Weaving

Got this set of three machine cane dining chairs. Realized the joints were really loose. So far, Ive got one taken apart and put back together. Video of the difference in how squeaky they are in the comments.

In December I recaned the seat in the rocker on the left. In February, I did the back for the rocker on the right. Too bad the seats and backs rarely fail at the same time.

It’s been a busy winter. I did several machine cane jobs in between working on two rockers. The last rocker is still in process.

Things are super busy I have six chairs in the workshop (two have been completed) and at least six on my waitlist. Here’s my most recent fiber rush chair. I’m starting to enjoy working with this material.

This lovely Eastlake chair was a gift from University City Buy Nothing group. W***y supervised the reweaving.

Replaced and stained the sheet cane in the back of this lovely chair.
